Considering the reason for my stay I must say the place wasn't bad. The staff is excellent, very helpful and caring. They are willing to go above and beyond to help with anything you need within reason. Speak up and they will listen.

The worst service I have seen in America. This is not happening even in the thirdworld.

I’m amending my review after speaking with the CEO of ClearVista. They do try their best for patients, however, I would recommend they work on communication with family as well as family education. I did remove a star due to them having some receptionist staff that are rude and unsuitable to work there particularly the woman who spoke with my mother when she brought my sister toiletries.

Clearvista is a great facility. They have caring staff that wants to make life easier for anyone who walks in the building. We are lucky to have them.

It takes a special kind of person to devote their time and energy to the care of the mentally ill, and those are the individuals you will find working at ClearVista. No job is perfect, no facility without it's issues and in the current pandemic climate you will find no group of harder working individuals dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those in need. ClearVista is dedicated to serving the most vulnerable populations and helping to end the stigma surrounding mental health by stabilization and successful return of their patients to the community.

Just want all of you who reviewed negatively to know I currently have a loved one in there. If I hear about any abuse, neglect, or over medicating my law firm will be looking into this facility EXTENSIVELY and all of your voices will be heard. I promise you that. ClearVista, I advise you be on your best behavior.

I was there for 5 days. Never met with a counselor! When I asked the administration to be moved they said they couldn't help me with that. All they do is sedate you! The food is cold and no selection. I barely ate while I was there!

I was inpatient. Doctors barely talked to you, most of the nurses were unnecessary mean. One nurse couldn’t tell me what pills she was giving me. Maybe one group a day. Dirty inside, a bunch of bugs were inside people’s rooms. The food was bad. It was inedible bad. The techs were nice but they only had two in each ward to do EVERYTHING. If you get a choice of where you go, DO NOT GO HERE.

I have had an exceptional time as a professional working with staff to get admissions completed in a timely fashion.

My mom was sent here without family consent when she was in the Parma Hospital ER because she had undiagnosed Alzheimer’s Disease. We were shocked when family came to visit the next day to see what kind of place this was. It was a prison, not a place to get diagnosed to be put on medicine to help with dementia. They never asked us anything about her medical history, her life, or other questions that would be expected when someone is there to diagnose Alzheimer’s. They kept her there for almost a week. Family members took turns getting to visit during very limited visiting hours. I called daily trying to explain that she has the support and care of a large involved family at home, but I was told they needed to observe her on new medicine to get the dose right. It was very traumatic for her and 6 months later, she still has PTSD due to how she was treated. She had no issues like that before she was there, just early dementia. She tells us how she was locked in her room, how rude and unprofessional the doctor was, and how nobody listened to her. She says there are things that happened there that she can’t talk about. I finally got to meet the doctor when we went to a follow up visit for meds after she came home (we weren’t allowed to talk to him during the whole time she was there, only to a nurse) and it made me sick to hear how he talked to her. Please keep your loved ones out of this place if you have a choice. I never post negative reviews about anything, but I feel very strongly because of how what happened to her there is still affecting her and I want to warn other people.

It was better than last time I was there and I feel like the medication changes has helped alot less anxiety and less nightmares.

I have really no idea how the service was when my husband was there for 7 days, because of Covid 19 I couldn't visit him. The nurses were really good answering my question and getting Don to the phone when I called. Now their social worker; that's a sad story. She promised that she would have home health all ready to come to our house when Don gets home also would have Don's insurance company bring him hom. (I cant drive anymore because of my eyes. Nope at the very last day she said oh by the way I can't find any home health care for Don and I can't find a driver to bring Don home. I had to call our son and he had to call off work so we could go pick up Don, and when he got in our son BMW Don was so dirty and smelling of urine it about drove us crazy on the way home. Which by the way was 1hr and 45 mins. Needless to say that was the longest ride home. As soon as I got him in the house i gave him a shower. In conclusion; they have a lot of improving to do before I'd ever recommend ClearVista to family, friends or anybody for that matter. Sincerely, Ada Murray Dover Ohio

I realize it's a very difficult job working with the mentally ill. The hospital staff is caring, Samantha on night shift was wonderful and very helpful making sure that everyone was comfortable. The overall cleanliness is amazing. The food could be better, but what hospital food is good. The fact that we are able to wear our own street clothes makes you feel at home. Group sessions have been very informative. Restrictions are in place due to COVID-19 not allowing visitations, but we have access to the phones to call family and friends. Thank you Clear Vista Staff for this much need hospital in Lorain County.

Chronically understaffed. Rarely answer phone.

One phone for 22 patients that does not even work well. With no visiting during covid, perhaps they could splurge for a 2nd line that works. Also perhaps some soundproofing due to loud background noise.
