Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute, Avon Lake OH

Can't get through to the site, even called Cleveland Clinic to transfer me over. Currently waiting on phone for over 10 minutes. Not good service!

Over priced junk. Bought a pair of dolabanys there a year ago and the paint flaked off in multiple places of the frame. They replaced them under warranty and the new pair had scratched frames when they gave them to me. They said they would allow me to choose another frame. Finally got my new glasses but the coatings I purchased were not correct and I was told they are not offered anymore. Rather than offer a refund for the coatings that weren't on the replacement pair, they suggest third party products. Will never go there again or recommend them.

Top notch optometrists, knowledgable opticians and top tier lab for high index, progressive no line bifocals with transitions and anti reflection.

Nice selection of lenses if you like top tier frames. Great place to go so long as you can wait potentially months for an appointment. Had appointment cancelled due to a clinic illness and was rescheduled 4 weeks later. Wanted contacts in June, earliest appointment was at end of August. Called Walmart and had an appointment the next day, great prescription, temporary contacts that day. Honestly, probably a better prescription than what I had at Cole.

Before all of the changes, this place was amazing. Now. I sit on the phone for a very long time before I can get through to anyone. You used to be able to order contacts and pay for them when they came in but now you have to pay for them first. I am still on hold and it has been 37 mins. After many years of being a customer here, I will be taking my three children and myself somewhere else for our eye care needs.

From my personal experience, I don't have an issue with the doctors at this location, however, it is extremely difficult to reach anyone by phone at the desk to help with scheduling, answering questions, ordering, etc. For some reason, I have to wait on hold, being transferred to at least 3-4 operators, before I can even speak to someone at the Avon Lake, Ohio location. During one instance, I could not reach anyone for 3 days (the Cleveland Clinic operators could not even reach them- for which their response to me was I needed to drive to the location to schedule an appointment or order my contacts.) One of the reps at the front desk told me they were short staffed and that was the reason they couldn't answer phones. "World class care" should extend to the call center and the reps answering phones.

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Don't schedule an appointment. They cancelled my husbands appointments twice in a row, weeks apart. He is out of contacts and has no where to go to get an RX to get them ordered. This place is awful.
