Cleveland Clinic Main Campus - Emergency Department

I'm not sure if they here to save life or got you waiting to die I been in that emergency room waiting for like 3 hours after meeting in a car accident, I sat there dying and still yet there was no doctor, I don't know what service's they offering but as a outsider they ain't doing what they need to do for patients

What has happened to the Cleveland clinic it is dirty nasty ghetto the people that work here have no manners this place is complete trash. I have been a patient here since 2014 and it is at its absolute worst. The people at check in are cussing being loud about personal business people don't want to hear this when they feel the worst. Cleveland clinic is suppose to be one of the best and i would say they have hit rock bottom please step up the professionalism

The ER is the absolute worst! Guaranteed long wait even if you’re there because you may have had a stroke- I guess time doesn’t matter to the Cleveland clinic ER if you’ve had a stroke. I called to speak with them after my dad was in the waiting room for 2 hours and was told they just don’t have room for him and they take people back based on how sick they are- possible stroke must not be sick enough to be seen? So sad- how does a great hospital have such a terrible ER? ! There needs to be a way to bypass the ER, get the tests you need, and see the appropriate specialist. But no, if you want to be at the best hospital for a serious illness you’re forced to go to the worst ER. Do better Cleveland Clinic!

This hospital is going down hill. You are just a number to them. I went there and the waiting room was full of diverse people. I left because I got tired of waiting went home and came back later to see if it died down, and the only people left was dark skinned people and others who looked homeless. They pick and choose who they want to see not in the order of just critical like they say. They took back almost all the white folks and upper class one! Very racist and judgmental ER. Also dr Brader very very unprofessional and rude. I went in for passing out, and loss of appetite with blood in stool, and generally feeling very ill. Instead of listening to my symptoms he straight cuts me off to say I have an eating disorder? Like no I just tried to tell you I’ve been so sick for the past month no appetite and weight loss, blood in stool? He discharged me from triage room, very unprofessional. I left and ended up passing out went to UH and I was in hypovhelomic shock! I will be seeking an attorney for medical neglect.

The worst experience with Cleveland clinic we so far. Triage at 11: 50am still waiting at 1: 54pm.

I went there yesterday with a lower back pain, when I got there there was nobody in the emergency room and they took me right away to just take my temperature and weight. I waited more than an hour to call me out when I was the only patient in the emergency room. I had to leave because I couldn't deal with the pain and when I left the emergency room, they called me stating they were looking for me for over 15 minutes when I was sitting right in front of the front desk. I'm a client of the clinic itself and it was my 1st time being in the emergency room and it will be my last time.

Worst experienced. I have chest tightness but seems like no attention. I decided to go home after 2 hrs of waiting. It’s a sad reality of the system. Not so much people inside the ER but it seems nothing.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I've been a patient of the clinic for about a year. The first doctor I saw was great. The second doctor did extensive testing and then refused to follow up with it. After multiple attempts with incompetent staff members I finally was transferred to a different doctor after waiting another month I went to check the location of my new doctor only to be let down yet again because the appointment is not has not been scheduled. Did I mention I am 5 hours away from this so-called clinic. I have waisted so much time and effort to find out why my heart and lungs are failing only to be let down by one of the "best" clinics in the country. Save your time they have no idea what they are doing.

This hospital will leave you in the lobby and let you die. Your life is not important here your are just a number. The don’t even give out water in the emergency room. They don’t have a working vending machine. You will die here and nobody cares. Don’t go to this hospital

If I could give the emergency room a zero I absolutely would. I was referred from my doctor to go there because I had stoke like symptoms. Waited 5 and half hours just to leave, to travel 2hs back to the hospital who are aware of my condition. That car ride back what a NIGHTMARE. At 5 and half hours my left arm completely lost strength and I was in so much pain. I told them I have a history of TIA and a blood clot disorder. They said they couldn’t do anything about it right now. Nurse was rude. The floors were absolutely gross, do they even take pride in the place they work? They were treating patients out in the open for everyone to see and hear. I just feel like that is WRONG. Arguments with patients and front desk lady broke out. Just all around absolutely worst experience of my life, that could have cost me my life because of the lack of urgency, and care the emergency room shown. To not recommend to anyone to go to the Cleveland Clinic EMERGENCY ROOM.

I brought my better half into the ER because she was having uncontrollable seizures. She is not prone to having seizures and I let the triage doctor know this. After almost SEVEN (7) HOURS, she was not seen. She was seizing the entire time we were sitting there. We had to leave because she literally collapsed in the wheelchair due to exhaustion. The other patients couldn't believe what they were witnessing. When I asked if they had any idea how much longer at hour number six (6), I was told no we don't have that information.
The treatment of patients like this is INHUMANE!
The only staff worth giving kudos for was the vallet and the security guards.
The Cleveland Clinic might be a top notch facility but their ER sure isn't. Might be time to revamp your policies

Absolute worst hospital I’ve ever experienced. If you do not want to do your job any work in the medical field then get into a different field. I’ve worked in the medical field for seven years there’s no need for the extra I’m new to the area. I called and asked if they could help me out of my car because my lower right back was in excruciating pain and I literally had to crawl to my car to get into it to begin with! I didn’t want to fall, so I need help out of the car Needless to say they were not willing to help me at all. The lady told me walk through the double doors there’s a wheelchair sit in it and come in. After being told multiple times that I can’t stand on my own. If you do not want to do your job, then don’t however, if you work in the medical profession, taking care of people that are sick and you don’t want to do your job, get another one. The whole purpose of your job is to help people and you couldn’t even help me from my car to a wheelchair.

This ER is the worst and if I could give zero, I would. We brought my dad in for a really bad headache and he was already throwing up in the ER and they still didn't do anything! Rachael, the nursing assistant is the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL. Should never work in the ER department! We understand that it can be really busy and might be short staffed but we waited for 6 hours! We left and drove to the ER in Lakewood location and we were seen right away. My dad had to have a major brain surgery. He deteriorated very quickly when we got to Lakewood. If we were seen immediately in the main campus, it might have not been this bad! Something needs to change in this location to better assist their patients!

Don't go here. They won't help you. My dad went in there, they discharged him without helping him. Guess they don't honor their hippocratic oath.

Worst ER EVER! So unorganized and rude to customers. When asked about how long it would be that didn’t give any answer. Went with mom and she was in so much pain and she expressed this to them and they made her wait the ENTIRE day to not even be seen because she couldn’t sit in a chair anymore. Will NEVER be back. Would give 0 stars if possible.

This ER is horrible. They left my grandmother who suffered a HORRIBLE fall down the stairs, with broken bones and a massive bump on her head, in the waiting room for 7 hours! They only had two doctors in the ER! Ridiculous

Went into the ER late yesterday. The people who helped me were so wonderful! They made me feel that I was in good hands. They explained things clearly and took very good care of me.

I called back after I got home to ask a question about the care plan. I was treated with the same courtesy, even though they were very busy.

Unprofessional, ED staff flagrantly lie on medical charts, making up info about patients or things the staff did that never happened. When I submitted a request for the information on my chart to be corrected, James Sauto attested the information was correct. He and the resident on duty made up information and ruined my life in doing so. The notes on my chart were incredibly unprofessional, and show the staff here have a superiority complex and think they know it all, e.g, saying patients have an unrealistic view of their own professions.

I give this er zero stars.they made my poor 82 year old father sit in the waiting room in a wheelchair for over 7 hours.we drive 3 hours to this er.absolutely ridiculous.we ended up leaving. He was never seen
