Hands down the best animal hospital I have experienced. Everyone is kind, personable, and understanding. I have recommended this place to every pet owner I know and they all love it just as much as me.

I've been coming to this vet since my dog was a puppy he is now three tried to make an appointment and won't see him unless I pay the visit before the appointment which normally I wouldn't mind but they just seen my other dog a couple weeks ago mind you I spent almost $300 never was I asked for payment ahead of time. Time for a new vet especially when I just told them he has an ear infection and a bite on his ear I guess payment is more important then my dogs health.

Dr. Horne is AMAZING
I feel my furry family members get the absolute best care with her! Impeccable rapport & relationship between us all!
HUGE regards to her & the staff at Clintonville Animal Hospital! Thank you for taking care of us, Dr. Horne! ️
P. S. I have two small senior doggies & one huge middle aged kitty. Best care ever, request Dr. Horne for best results.

Wonderfully friendly and helpful doctors and staff. These folks know what they're doing, and they treat our elderly, diabetic cat like their own beloved family member. Highly recommended.

Honestly, the best veterinary office in Columbus. They genuinely take care of your animals. Very kind and knowledgeable staff. Also very reasonably priced! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a new vet or unhappy with their current.

I called to establish care for my pets and called for help with a cat I just rescued and was basically told "try calling somewhere else" I guess they don't want clients:)

I've waited a week since our cat's passing to post this review in an attempt to be fair and rational. Like all pet parents who have lost a loved one, I can't help but wonder how much of the condition that took our cat's life was preventable.

We've been taking our cat to Clintonville Animal Hospital for years and about a year ago began treatment for chronic pancreatitis. We could never quite get a straight answer about the prognosis or long-term treatment plan, and the doctor frequently seemed to lose track of what we were treating, what we'd tried, and where to go with the treatment.

The confusion was exacerbated by our cat developing a cough about six months ago, which was ultimately referred to MedVet's internal medicine team. This created a situation where the more holistic care of our cat between what we were assured was "just asthma" and the pancreatitis became really unclear, and I often felt like I was playing monkey in the middle between Clintonville Animal Hospital and MedVet. I had to remind the Clintonville Animal Hospital doctor on a couple of separate occasions that we were even treating our cat for pancreatitis rather than just the cough and asthma.

As our cat's condition deteriorated, we were desperate to get more concrete guidance from a doctor, but there seemed to be both a fundamental disorganization to the practice that made this challenge as well as a deference to the referral to MedVet. This made treatment over the final few months of our cat's life seem really disjointed and more stressful for both us and our cat than it needed to be.

By the time our cat was in such obvious discomfort that we decided to take him to MedVet for emergency care, we learned that his prognosis was very poor, a complete reversal of the "just asthma" sentiment we'd been working through just days prior. Intervention at this point proved to be fruitless, and we had to say goodbye.

I understand that cats can deteriorate quickly given certain conditions. Of course I have no way to know whether earlier tests or intervention could possibly have changed the course of his condition. But it pains me not knowing whether our cat could have lived longer or more comfortably in the time he had left had Clintonville Animal Hospital taken our concerns and the treatment plan of our cat more seriously.

For whatever it's worth, I believe they genuinely care, but perhaps they're overloaded and have taken on too many clients to provide thorough, comprehensive treatment to pets with complicated conditions at this point in time.

We could not have asked for a better experience for our puppy. Dr. Horne took the time to ask not just about her health but gave some great advice on behavior, potty training, and more. Even better, my teenage daughter is very interested in veterinary medicine and Dr. Horne allowed her to ask a ton of questions, and explained all the things she was looking for in great detail. My daughter felt very special. We know that the newest member of our family is in great hands.

They took such good care of my sweet baby when we had an emergency that required unexpected surgery. The entire staff is amazing. I can’t speak highly enough of this place. 11/10 recommend

Dr. Horne is attentive and thorough. She is a fantastic diagnostian and saved our German shepherd twice. We affectionately call her "Dr House! " The office staff and techs are first class as well.

I drive from New Albany to see Dr. Dan. He is a great vet.

Updated 7/21/21 - Dr. Weller is also great. Dr. Dan has sold and gone into retirement. The new doctors are great and the staff is just the same. Sorry to leave them do to distance.

They've been around for many many years so I guess they're doing something right a little bit pricey but they do take care of your animals

Everyone at this office is always so friendly and they seem to genuinely care about my dog. My dog had an emergency on a holiday and I needed to take her to OSU emergency, where she spent the night in the ICU. The next day Dr. Horne personally called to get the story and to see how she was doing. That was followed by the office receptionist giving a couple follow-up calls just to make sure she was recovering normally. On top of the service, Dr. Horne is extremely knowledgable and up-to-speed on current research and new treatments in vetinary medicine. Nothing but positive things to say about this vet!

I'm probably going to start getting emotional as I write this, but this is the second time that the Clintonville Animal hospital has completely turned very severe situations around. Dr. Horne and Dr. Weller are people who TRULY care, and it's obvious in the way they provide services. Not only that, but they are very direct when it comes to pricing and services. I couldn't ask for a better team of people, including the front desk. See, when you don't deal with places that have a lot of the "frills", you get direct communication and honesty. I will never, ever, take my animals anywhere else, and have referred many others to the clinic, from other areas of town, who have all said the same thing. They even have a team of people that check on the animals if they have to stay overnight. Thank you for caring for our animals the same way we do!

Dr. Devon Horne and the staff are magnificent! My cat Baxter had what seemed like a blockage (it was) and they were able to get her in early the same day we called, even tho she was new patient. All good - thank you!
