Columbus Floor Sanding

Outstanding work and price. Wanted a grey floor since they're all the rage and could not be happier with the end result.
Everyone who sees my floors wants to know who did it.
Timeframe from start to finish was just 4 days and they cleaned up so well. Truly dustfree, which has not been my experience in my past home.

Friendly but shy workers, so I felt safe just walking away and letting them do their thing.
Would definitely use Columbus Floor Sanding again.

I could not be happier with the way these folks redid my floors! I recently closed on a house that was in desperate need of refinishing the hardwood. All original hardwood but scratched to the bone - I was skeptical at first that they would be able to fix them. But the end product was beautiful, the foreman and the workers were great to work with, and the time it took them to finish was actually shorter than originally estimated. The floors look beautiful now and it completely changed the feel of the house. 10/10 would work with them again. Thanks again, guys!

Beware! Absolutely horrible work. Floors are unevenly stained. Dirt, hair, grass, nails sealed in all over the floors. Can't clean it up because it's all under the finish so it's feels very dirty under bare feet. Didn't put hardware back for closets. We had cameras put in to keep an eye on contractors and they turned them off because they didn't want to be seen doing a less than quality job.

Called and scheduled an in-house estimate but no one showed up. Called and scheduled again and no one showed up a second time. Was told after the second no-show that someone would call 'within a few minutes' to get something scheduled but no one ever called back. Very disappointing.

Wonderful job, left me very pleased with the outcome. I called them on a weekend and they were able to fit me into their job schedule quickly.
The older gentleman that provided the estimate was very knowledgeable and answered every question i could think of.
The work was done in a matter of a few days.

I would recommend without hesitation.

If I could give this business a negative rating, I would. Absolutely THE WORST customer service I have ever experienced. They didn't show up twice when they were supposed to and didn't call to let us know they weren't coming. On the third try, they came out and said they can't do the floors because of staples and so on from the carpet being on the floor. We wanted to do business with them because they told my husband that they can remove the staples at an affordable price. The wife is extremely rude and will hold another conversation with someone else while on the phone with you. I gave her point of contact instructions and she did not follow it all as she was calling someone else about our project. For a business that has been around for 50 years, get your customer service together. I would not recommend this business to anyone.

Terrible communicators. Rescheduled our job when they hadn't heard from us for twenty minutes at 830 in th morning.

Outstanding work. Our hardwood floors look brand new.
Better than new actually as I was able to change the entire look of the house by going with a trendy looking black instead of the 60's goldish tone the floors were before.
They were super about working around my fast schedule to get moved in on time and didn't charge extra for working on the weekend.

Called multiple times and spoke with owner. Appointments scheduled to visit home for quote and no show two times. Promises of phone calls to reschedule but nothing. They are ether really busy or they don't need/want the business.

I was nervous based on reviews of no shows and bad communication/customer service, but they were such a good price I decided to give it a shot. They were wonderful. Guys that were at the house were kind and worked quickly. When they were finished they made sure I knew exactly how to care for and protect the floors. Good experience.

Amazing job! My floors look so good, I couldn't be happier. They were very professional and hardworking. They left the house clean and tidy and the floors turned out far exceeding my expectations! They did a large repair as well as the refinishing and it all looks great! I love my new OLD floors and would highly recommend them to anyone!

Did a super job. The crew was prompt and courteous and everything was so much cleaner than I expected.
We had our floors refinished 20 years ago by a different company and that process was ver dusty. I don't know what has changed but this time around there was no dust for me and my wife to clean up afterward. Would definitely use again.

Very nice to work with. Dependable. Don't think I could have asked for more really. Arrived on the day I was promised and finished up sanding all the floors while we left on vacation. Had to board the dogs while they did the work.

I'm not usually easily impressed. The miracle that the crew from Columbus Floor Sanding did on my hardwood floors is nothing short of miraculous.
I rented my home out for the last several years while I worked out of state. The couple that I rented to seemed very nice. I allowed them to have one pet, an older cat. After they moved out I discovered from the neighbors that they had closer to a dozen cats living in my home. Upon inspecting the property to get it ready to sell or rent again, I was heartbroken to discover that the new carpeting I had installed prior to their moving in was destroyed. It smelled horrible and was still wet with carpet urine, definitely not salvageable.
I thought I was lucky when I discovered there were hardwood floors underneath. Unfortunately, they too were stained by the cat urine. Big black stains everywhere. In every room.

I made quite a few calls to various floor companies in the area and finally decided on Columbus Floor Sanding. They were prompt in returning my phone calls and understanding of the fact that I cannot take calls during certain times of the day. We met at my semi-destroyed home in the evening after I got home from work. I was late, but they were very understanding and took the time to answer all the questions that I had. Unlike the other companies I had called, Bill didn't promise me that he could get all the stains out. I appreciated his honesty, and that along with his general friendliness made my decision to go with their company.

Instead of trying to sand all the black urine stains out Bill suggested that I go with a dark stain, almost a black to disguise the stains and make them blend in. I'm sorry but I cannot remember the exact name.
The dark stain worked wonders. You cannot even tell where the urine stains are at all. They look beautiful, much better than I could have ever hoped for.

Super Job! We received so many compliments on our hardwood floors when we had company over for the Holidays! All of our family and friends were so impressed. Especially since they had seen the floors before they were sanded and finished.
My husband and I truly could not be happier with the crew that refinished our flooring and the level of care and conscientiousness they took with our home and floors.

Needed to refinish the hardwood floors as it had been ages since they were done and they looked terrible at this point. Called several floor companies and finally decided to go with Columbus Floor Sanding as they had been around the longest, and a co-worker had used them in the past. Really nice work and a good price.

Called for an estimate on an evening and got someone from Columbus Floor Sanding to come out the next day. After measuring all the rooms and answering my many questions I accepted the estimate and arranged a start date. The crew arrived, and even though I was home alone I felt at ease as the guys they sent over seemed so nice.

They put up plastic everywhere, although I don't know why as I couldn't really see any dust (I peeked) The whole process looked painful with 1 guy bent over most of the day using the smaller sander. Don't think I'd want to do this for a living. After sanding the floors they put down some stain samples for me to look at. I chose a really dark stain, Ebony as it seems to be in fashion right now. I was also told that it would help hide some of the stains left by the previous owner's dog. It seems to have worked as I can't really tell where they were.

After sanding and staining they came back the following day to put down the polyurethane. They waited until the day after, a Wednesday to put down another coat. By Thursday morning I was able to walk on my newly redone floors, and waited until the weekend to put all my furniture back.

I must say the floors look absolutely beautiful. Everyone comments on them, and asks who did them. A few of my friends have had their floors done, but they all rave about mine.

Started off good and went downhill fast. Older gentleman showed up on time for the first home visit. Took all the measurements and provided a quote on the spot. We still had carpet down and I wanted to do the demo myself so after I completed that I called them back up to just ensure that the estimate was still good and to schedule a date to start the work. I scheduled the first time and a start work date on the phone with the lady. On the day of the visit I had a no call no show. I called them about an hour after their window and the lady on the phone apologized and said she was supposed to call and reschedule and forgot. She said they wanted to make it right and said any day and time would work so we set up a second chance visit. That day rolls around and I get the same no call no show. I call them about an hour after that appointment window and she says that he is running 3 hours behind schedule and wants to reschedule again. I did get another apology and I reluctantly gave them a third chance. He showed up on the third time and made no apologies in person. Then he told me it would cost a little more money because one of the rooms had a carpet pad originally stuck down to it and it would take more time and sanding. I thought he could eat that cost due to the missed times and no calls but I didn't argue. Then he said that the start work date wouldn't work and that he would call me the next day with a date to start the work. I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN A CALL. The original start date is Monday and I have heard nothing. In the mean time I have gotten quotes from other companies and they are coming in less and seem to have this stuff together. I would not recommend this company and would use it as a last resort. NO CALL NO SHOW NO APOLOGY NO BUSINESS.
