Columbus Garden School reviews
11Great place for educational classes! I recently took the Residential Solar Workshop and learned everything from the science and history to the pros and cons of all things solar. I walked away with helpful information to make an educated choice about if, when, and why (or why not) I should add solar to my home! I highly recommend the Columbus Garden School.
I've taken several live online classes at the CGS and have learned an incredible amount of valuable information. They seem to source approcable professionals to teach these classes.
I live in Texas, which is a different planting region, but 99.9% of the information is transferable to my region. I will take more classes. Fantastic value and applicable information.
The presentation was very helpful, and it gave me new information on fall prep for winter hives.
Great local business. They offer instruction on a variety of topics - home, garden, etc. I took a sourdough baking class and learned how to make bread with hands-on support and take-home starter from the instructor. I look forward to seeing them continue to grow!
The instructor has 20 years of landscaping experience and she teaches in a way that makes you understand the hows and whys of gardening. There is a lecture, slides and open discussion. Then the class has the opportunity to go outside and demonstrate what was learned. Excellent hands on instruction. Well worth the time and cost.
I have attended two different classes here. Both instructors we very knowledgeable and I learned a lot. The school is very welcoming and we'll run. I wasn't sure If feel comfortable going on my own, but it was great fun!
I took a native plants class here and it was very informative & helpful. Hoping to attend more classes in the future. I love that they offer hvac, electrical, etc classes for women!
I loved the information that I received when I attended a class there. I bought some seeds there and some other gardening items. Will continue to take Vm lassoes there and shop there. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Highly recommend this place.
Tisa is a wealth of knowledge and an engaging educator. Have taken several classes with her, as well as receiving an excellent garden plan consultation when I moved to my new house. She’s pruned shrubs for me and answered dozens of questions. Can’t say enough about what a wonderful resource Tisa and her school are to Columbus gardeners. FIVE STARS!
I love the variety of classes here and wandering around the garden. Tissa is a wealth of information and always a pleasure to spend time with.
Tisa Watts is an indespensible teacher. Learning with her is easy and fun! I have a fantastic native butterfly garden, and delicious cucumbers and beans this year, thanks to her!
