Columbus Metropolitan Library: Shepard Branch reviews
6What a great community resource. Books, computers, community bulletin boards and baby chicks. What a great place to spend the day.
I wish I could give zero stars seriously! I've been coming here for two years as its the closest branch to my home and I'll be honest.if you want a terrible, destructive experience where its loud like a rock or rap concert, kids running ramped with no adult supervision, staff that has zero control or really care (maybe they are scared of the kids or maybe there is nothing they can do but you can def speak up!) and the police being called on kids for literally destroying the computers (punching, slamming and kicking them) and then proceeding to cuss out the grown adult patrons for no reason at all as they walk in well as well as the workers then this is your place to be. 3 weeks ago it was so bad I had to pack me and my daughters items and just go before they said anything to us and we have to have a problem. I'll stick to the main library hell even DRIVING PARK is better than this my word!
I was sitting there minding my own business, and an employee walked up to me and started talking to me, "asking the reason why I was just sitting there staring? " I was thinking. She kept circling me. She kept watching me. I wholeheartedly believe I was being racially profiled.
It's been a long time since I've been to the library maybe 20 years and when I went to the library to get some document printed off and happened to use the internet the staff was wonderful they was great great big smile very nice friendly calm people.
In the place awesome clean Shepherd Library awesome place to be.don't change.
Visited the Shepard branch for the 150th Birthday Bash, we had a great time! The kids really enjoyed the farm animals and making the Birthday buttons. They also played on the computers, ate snacks and even checked out a few books!
