Comfort Inn Sandusky

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.this place is disgusting.the best part of my experience here was leaving.not clean, smelled horrible, bad service.

Will start with the positives. Staff was helpful and the room was clean. I paid a little extra to get a king bed with a desk but the furniture in the room was really not so great. The desk and chair provided were really not conducive to working. The hotel itself is pretty dated but it was a good value for the area. My room appeared to be refreshed recently but it was painfully obvious that there used to be a hot tub in there and the refresh was minimal. Would probably look for a different place next time in the area.

The room smelled of smoke, a former smoking room. The bed was soft enough, pillows very small. The breakfast consists of eggs, sausage, cold cereal, bread, waffles, tangerine, yogurt and banana. Not the best, not the worst. The one star rating comes from the house keeping. Only gave towels that were haphazardly placed on the counter and took trash. The next day, a Friday, they had a party outside the room in the morning. Loudly chatting amongst eachother and laughing. This went on for an hour. Check out is 11, we left at 1050. Will not return to this hotel

Very disappointed. Will not stay here again. Grounds have gone down since last stay here and they no longer open the tiki bar area. What a shame

I waited 30 minutes for the front desk to show up to check me into the room I paid for ahead of time. When I was finally given my room key it was for a double queen when I booked and paid for a king. I have a receipt to prove it. I had to put all my things back in my car drive back around the building and wait 10 more minutes for the front desk to show up again to fix it. When I finally get to my room the wifi isn't working. I'm a choice rewards platinum member almost diamond I stay a lot at comfort inn and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a comfort inn 0/10 will choose any other choice hotel over this one.

Showers aren't hot, no maid service for 3 days.indoor pool ice cold, luggage carts are never returned to lobby. When asked why wasn't room cleaned, maid stated yours wasn't on the list for today

Cons - room smelled like straight mold/ i work on the ac units for another company and they dont clean the inside like they should. There was mold all over the fan blades and room was dirty. Didnt even check the bed and went downstairs for refund

GO TO SOUTHSHORE INN instead
you wont regret it. Super clean and has outdoor pool

I like the location but i got a very bad sinus infection from the mildew in the room.i was planning on staying here again but now i might be hospitalized so i dont think so

The room smelled like mold and the air conditioner barely worked and when it did it smelled like mold.the workers was rude and one of them laughed at a lady with a stroller walking in.

My husband is here for a while for work. The room is great. When we received service, it was ok.

This place is not a quality hotel. I wish I could rate it 0 stars because of how awful my experience has been. I've been here twice and both times there have been reported bedbugs in multiple rooms. The breakfast is not that good with wet eggs and soggy sausage everyday. I wish I never have to stay here again. The room was super humid and I do not know why. I stayed here two nights and it went from humid to musty and wet. In the end I don't recommend this comfort inn it's not that comfortable.

Plenty of parking space and the renovation done inside looks nice. Saving this location for any future stays In this area…I recommend

Paid $200 for the delux room with a king bed.
The room is tiny. The bathroom is even smaller. Have to close the door to even see and get to the shower/tub.
The bed is Very uncomfortable after about 10 minutes. Good luck sleeping with all the sounds of the people on the hall, rooms around and above you.

Only thing I did like was the pools and hot tub. They were at a decent temperature. Both inside pool and out.

The light on the left side of the bed did not work at all.

Make sure you switch the TV to HDMI 1 or you won't get any channels.

Breakfast was not as good as I've had at other hotels.

I felt like I was walking down the hall way forever. There's no colors or anything on the walls to make it feel like it's not closing in on you.

The lady at the front desk when we checked in last night was very nice and quick. Her name was Morgan.

Went to check in at 3am on 7/6 and there was NOBODY at the desk to check guests in. Had to go to a different hotel, UNBELIEVABLE!

Great location and friendly staff. Pools were not heated and the jacuzzi was not hot. The outside pool bar was not open even though the weather was foggy all week. Breakfast was ok but should add sausage links and possibly bacon instead of sausage patties as as the only option. Make a bunch of small pancakes and have them already made instead of waiting to use the waffle maker.

I dont reccomend this hotel.the room wasnt clean and tv didnt work.for the amount of money they charge you think it would be a better hotel

This is my second time at this hotel and I can't tell you how disappointed I am and regretful I didn't go with a different place. For the cost of our room I had a much higher expectation than what we got. (First time I paid half of what it cost this time and had a much better room!)

Pretty big place. Full hot breakfast with waffles, scramble eggs, sausages, cereal, muffins, toasts and etc. Indoor & outdoor pool, jacuzzi, few arcades. Lobby have some snacks. Everything was clean. Bed is comfy, ac was cold, microwave & decent size fridge. We had 2 full size beds so there were 4 pillows on each beds, 4 towels sets. Overall is very nice. Close to 24hr taco bell & mcdonalds and many gas stations w covinient stores. Near the highway but could barely hear the outside
