Comfort Inn & Suites, Dover OH

The staff was amazing.
We were there from December 7-11 for our kids wedding. On Friday evening the desk clerks were so very patient and kind. Burnie who took care of breakfast area went above and beyond every morning. He was so very polite, helpful and extremely respectful. One morning he even brought it to our attention that our elderly mother had gotten confused and was wandering hall. Please take the time to appreciate him as I have taken the time to tell you.

People were so friendly and helpful: rooms were clean, staff very friendly. We had a very enjoyable experience.

I’ve been staying at the Comfort Inn going on 7 months now for work. It’s a great place to be. Minutes from work, plenty of restaurants nearby, stream access beside the hotel. That list could keep going. The reason for the review is the service you’re given while you stay. Everyone and I mean everyone greats you with a smile an asks how you’re doing and always say have a good day as you pass to am from the hotel.

Well, they’ve lost my business! I WAS going to stay there until the reservation clerk told me the price! I was shocked to say the least! It was going to be a little over $500 for two nights! You read that right…a little over $500! I’m sure she heard me hit the ground! Ok, now I could be understand if it were a 1 star hotel…, but this is a a low to average hotel! They’re crazy!

This is a well-managed and clean motel. We have stayed here numerous times and have never been disappointed.

Stayed here while visiting Amish country. Room was very nice and bed was comfortable. Highly recommend!

This was probably the best hotel experience I've had in a long time! The room was clean, the staff was friendly, the free breakfast was good. There is a pool and a small workout room that I did not use, but would if I return! My room faced the river so, in the warmer months, I imagine the view is lovely!

I stayed 4 nights and my last night I requested a late checkout at the front desk. I was told it shouldn’t be a problem but she has to check with management in the morning and will let me know. Never heard anything so I figured a noon checkout was okay. At 1115 2 maids banged on my door and yelled at me saying “checkout is at 11” I told them I put in a late checkout for 12. They said “it can’t be granted and I needed to talk to the front desk and pay a $50 fee for noon checkout”. So I talked to the front desk and they said if I’m out by 1130 no fee. So we rushed out of the room. I was sitting in my car because my girlfriend had to finish her makeup in there and these same rude house keepers came outside to smoke and left to go get food. They came back 30 mins later as I was leaving the parking lot. Never have I ever been denied a 1 hour late checkout or yelled at by house keeper’s threatening a $50 fee for a $100 a night hotel for 1 extra hour. The beds are uncomfortable here and the staff is rude. A woman who I’m assuming was the manager was yelling at staff one morning I was having breakfast. It was very unprofessional as she strutted around drinking her coffee on a power trip. Dont stay here this place is awful.

Clean, comfortable and smooth quick service. Staff is polite and accommodating, rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast fresh and attendant super friendly. Conveniently located right off highway.

The old gentleman was very nice and funny. So upbeat and very positive. It made my day. Thank you for having that kind of person.
