Conneaut Township Park reviews
19Very clean and well taken care of. Lots of places to sit down and eat or walk the beach. Super nice pavilion with garage doors on it so you can adjust how much wind you want to take. Great place to get out of the weather to eat if the weather turns bad but can be opened up if the weather is nice.
Love it. Beautiful and peaceful. Walked in the sand and in the water. Talked to fishermen on the breaker wall.
Nice setup for picnic and family outings
Lots of parking. Restrooms available. Didn't find much beach glass though on this blustery Fall day. Watched parasailing-we thought they were flying kites until we got closer. Nice playground area and a picnic Pavillion.
Great beach! But why do they announce the closing time like it's 'The Purge'? Also why are there so many fire pits if you can't be there after dark? CAN you be there after dark? Legally?
Breathtaking. I came here for a business trip. I live 4.5 hours away but, I am dying to bring my family with me next time. I would love to spend the day and go for a swim.
Wonderful beach. Soft sand. A shirt layer of pebbles to walk over to get in the lake, but it's worth it. It was gorgeous. Looked like a great place to walk, but we just went swimming and had a cookout at one of the fire pits on the beach
Clean huge beach. My kids loved it. Lots of rocks on the beach.if your a rock lover. We visited here for DDay 2021 experience which added a touch of history to our trip. Be sure to plant yourself up at the top of the hill with a shaded tent to wait for the event to start. We were at the bottom of the hill and could not see the army boats entering in from the water. Bring cash if you visit this event. You will have to pay someone 5-10.00 for parking and then the concessions only took cash and then everyone's taking donations for veterans and the event. We met some very pleasant ppl in this town (Pastor Trudy) and another couple that blessed us with $$ for some treats for the kids. We were able to give some $$ back to the event.
Quite a drive from Columbus, but it is a really cool park, in a quaint lakeside town. They really do the D-Day Ohio event really well!
It's a good beach. Always can find a place to put your stuff. Kids playground. No life guards, but I consider that a plus. As there is nobody telling you what and how your kids can play in the water and beach. Sand is ok, but has some baseball size rocks mixed in. In the water it is hot and miss. Some areas all sand. Some all larger rocks when in the water and barefeet can be uncomfortable. But overall a good public beach That I visit more than presque isle in Erie. And I live in PA.
My favorite place to play basketball at, then after getting all sweaty and hot can go to lake and cool off with a nice swim.
It was DDay it was a blast I enjoyed how they wear dress in the past how the people there have a passion where they were there or not I recommend you go once in your life and it's free
Amazing park, every August for a weekend, the nation's largest DDAY reenactment comes to town. Here are some pics from 2021, an amazing beach and the entire park is transformed into Allied and German occupied France. Battles during the day and a main battle to end the day. Thousands of troops every year. Outside of this amazing weekend, the park is really beautiful and I encourage you to check it out.
Today was a D-Day re-enactment if you're a World War II buff or a veteran of World War II or any for this is very interesting lots of fascinating reenactors
Wonderful as always! Hope to squeeze one more trip up before fall. It's my favorite beach but there is a man we call Mr. Grumpy pants who thinks he owns the beach. He can be threatening. Very sad.
The park is a hidden gem. There is an abundance of parking. Even if the parking lot is full there's still plenty of places to put down a blanket to be in the sun.
A very large and beautiful day use only park with lots of beach access. This year marks the 21st annual "D" Day reenactment of WW2. Also the only beach in Ohio that I know of where you can get ice cream and burgers.
Got to take my children to experience D-Day and it's phenomenal! Beach is clean, playground is very nice and food from pats fireside is good.
Pretzel was excellent. Cheeseburger very under cooked. When brought to waitress attention she got an attitude n wanted to know if we wanted to put it back on the grill. Not a good suggestion with all that is going on. Restaurant was clean
Excellent set up for the D-Day Ohio event. For some reason they worry about parking on the grass to unload as a vendor. But have no concern about 500 people walking through my tent and making a path that would make the Oregon Trail envious!
