CSL Plasma, Toledo OH

Do not recommend. Severely understaffed. Some employees are extremely unprofessional (blaring music from their phone while taking your vitals and you can't understand what they are saying because of the volume, not adjusting needles when they are uncomfortable or having flow issues, having personal conversations and not working while lines are extremely backed up). Clientele are unclean and smell of drugs constantly. Long waits for vitals as there is usually one person working while 2 or 3 or standing around talking. This facility cannot keep staff members and constantly has new employees. Not sure if it is management related or clientele related but there is a massive turnover problem here. Avoid this place!

I've came to the lewis ave location on 3 different days, it's my first time trying and last, trying to donate.ok so first time, I guess I got there to late, second time only was one person doing registration, so took me in back check my veins, come back out, all of a sudden with 2 and half's hours left before they closed, I was told come back another day, u know cuz if ur not a junky u have everyday to spend waking up and making ur way to this place bright and early, so the third time I managed to get there early in the day, guy starts my registration, then I'm taken in back to check for viens, this lady couldn't I guess find any that they could use, how ever anytime I go to a actual doctor they have no problem finding viens and drawing blood, I'm told to drink lots of water, I do daily, don't drink pop beverages or coffee, which I don't and eat food, really I weigh 300, I'm sure food is being consumed.it was my first time trying to donate and my last, I have a job, sorry for which ever person out there my plasma could have saved.my God be with you.

I go to csl on lewis the staff are wonderful and helpful. The place is nice an clean the parking lot included. Keep up the good work.

Overall nice center they keep the rotation going to try to keep up. My favorite is Ms. Bri she’s cool she always comes and helps everyone when the needle isn’t in right, she always assures I’m in good hands and I’ll be alright, she just makes the process not as bad I’ve been donating for a short while and was skeptical about it I’m glad i got her as my sticker she was cool i didn’t even feel it! I've been coming here on & off for 3 years now & I have great relationships with some of the workers there, & absolutely love going every week!

Pay is low once you're not a new donor but it's clean, the staff are great, and it's much less hassle than going to Grifols.

Friendly people. Usually there longer then expected considering there are other donation center in town. CSL is by far hands down the best.

They are always short handed, and while the young lady Mercedes isn’t always the friendliest face you can always count on her to get the line moving. She at least has the common curtesy to seat us! Even if we aren’t getting our needles in right away having had to stand in one line for over an hour just to stand in another line being seated is all I ask for as I have chronic back pain. She’s always a awesome stick, She rocks!

Lewis ave Center has an employee that is Awkeays Rude to me. Not sure if it's just me personally or If She's like that to everyone.
Today I stepped away to go wait for the Nurse and she actually followed me, got right in my face and asked if She did her job correctly and If I was feeling ok. Now mind you this happened after I had my Finger poked, Blood pressure taken and had walked over to the waiting area.
Other than Her I really like the people Here

My iron was low so I couldn't donate I got iron checked by another worker my iron was on point so I asked to speak with supervisor an I can hear the worker tell everyone my iron low with attitude she was mad because I walked away an asked for supervisor so she's spreading my business my patient confidence was not protected at all then when I left she still was speaking about it my cousin was donating an over herd her an called me on the phone I'm 20 mins away from there an she still talking

Have tried calling 4 times and each time it just rings for 5 minutes. Second time I called someone answered and they immediately hung up.

When u donate at one center in Maumee. Then you come to the one in Toledo they always defer u. They think I have bruises on my arm. And I don't.they alw And they always defer your when its bonus day

I'm an active member and I come to Ohio and can't donate because I don't stay here. But In North Carolina they told me that I could. So saving lives stop there at the state lines

This place is so clean with friendly staff and great phlebotomists. Much nicer than any of their competitors.

Red is by far the WORST person to have to deal with! Her sticks sucks then gets an attitude because she has to fix her mess up! My husband's needle wasn't in far enough so he had no flow another woman even told red that was the problem. She just blamed it on the way his she said his wrist was and NEVER fixed the problem! The other woman came to check on him and seen red never fixed him, she didn't seem too happy! She had another lady in tears last monday.she listens with her mouth and not ears! She needs fired! Everyone else are AMAZING!

I thought the staff was friendly and attentive.
Best part is, our donations really are needed
I am doing this to save extra money for a vacation but I think I will continue to do this

I don't know how long I can get it to work and I wanted to see if you wanted it to be a surprise for you when you get here so I can make the payment on the fullest

It was a great place to go, until all of the original people left, and they hired new people who accuse people of doing drugs and trying to defer them without calling a nurse to verify. (Husband had a bug bite on his arm) it New people that stand around and do nothing while one person sticks people in the back. New people that don't even have common sense, nor common courtesy. I no longer recommend this place to people. Right at the moment of typing this, my husband is donating there, constant no flow, and nobody is fixing it. They are standing there twiddling their thumbs and having a good old conversation. It's sad. Especially considering that most of the people there are no flowing, because theses people don't know how to stick people properly.

The place is super slow.they need mpre staff.i thinkin im going back to dorr st plasma center.every time i give plasma it takes 2 to 3 hours. Very unhappy about this place

Practically maimed my arm with a bruise, and then had the nerve to say that I couldn't come back for a week because of the bruise that they caused.
