There is a family relationship. Many of my family are either related to Custer
Interesting park space in a small town where the man was from. Very informative, giving both information on Custer, and information on the Indians he was after! Worth a stop and is handicap accessible. You'll need about 30 min, It's an incredibly peaceful place for a stop.
Nice setting with murals for reading, museum by apt in off season, statue, and easy parking for some photos. Much more to learn about Custer than I expected, must stop for history buffs.
The statue faithfully depicts the idealized version of the slim, (overly?) confident cavalry officer, but the adjacent information panels provide a more complex appraisal of both the man & myth.
