Dinner with a friend, restaurant remodeled since my last visit. Food is scrumptious, as always, and the strudel is divine.

We went for dinner on a weekend night and the place was packed. We got a table right away by the bar and the bartender/server Moose was absolutely fantastic! He was knowledgeable, friendly, funny and gave great recommendations. This was such a breath of fresh air, as some of our favorite places have gone down hill during the pandemic. We look forward to many more nights there.

The place was clean, very good service, and fast.the pretzel was hand made and fresh, not frozen.soft, good.mustard was good and spicy.beer cheese was rather bland.the bread was soft, fresh, warm, but unfortunately served with butter that was cold and hard.the pierogies appeared to be deep fried, meh.the potato filling was flavorless and bland.the sauerkraut balls were fantastic- my favorite dish, and were drizzled with some type of jalapeno aioli, it wasnt too spicy though, it was great.the potato pancakes were decent, fluffy texture, not dense, a bit greasy.served with sour cream and applesauce.i ordered the chicken dumpling soup expecting a cream based chicken soup with dumplings in it- what i got was a broth based bowl of typical chicken noodle soup.noodles like you would see in alphabet soup- that is NOT a dumpling in my opinion.total disappointment.the spaetzle was just like macaroni and cheese.i was expecting the crispy pan fried spaetzle.no.this was soft cooked noodle, like its boiled.the cheese on it was bland. Someone else ordered the pork schnitzel and said that it was good, two other people had the German potato salad and both said that that was good also and more sour than sweet.the black forest torte was good, and huge! Although it came out quite cold.not sure if it was homemade or a frozen cake.shouldve been served more at room temp so it wouldve softened up the texture.the steak kabobs were absolutely horrendous, possibly the worst bite of meat i ever attempted to eat.i took one bite, it was so tough i couldnt even bite through it.and flavorless and had gristle.i just spit it out and didnt even attempt to eat it. It was like it had been frozen for 5,000 years.cant believe they would serve meat like that.would not go back for anything except the sauerkraut balls.also, upon entering they had a really nice unique textured painting on the wall which deserves to be mentioned.i appreciated that.

Best German food I’ve had in a very long time. Beautiful atmosphere, great vibes, and service like clockwork. My mom and I went to dinner right at the dinner rush and the staff was turning over tables and seating people so efficiently it was impressive to watch. Our server was outstanding as well. I can’t speak highly enough about this place. Do yourself a favor and go eat there!

Excellent all around. The owners of Das Schnitzel Haus have taken the difficult task of running an authentic German restaurant quite seriously. Bravo!

We have been passing by this place for the last 20 years and always saying, we should go. So glad we finally did. Outstanding German food. I had the Deutsche plate, with a sampling of Schnitzel, bratwurst, goulash, spatzel, and sourkraut. It was heavenly. We also tried the chicken Schnitzel it was very good. The bread served with dinner was outstanding. Tried the pretzel, it was also very good. Will definitely be back.

Outstanding, as usual. This is as close to authentic German Food I've found since retiring from Europe. Noticed a difference in usual management cordiality/greeting on last visit. This was
after lunch and before dinner. Just wondered if there's a change in ownership/management or because of labor shortage and everybody's just busy.

Love the food and prices are good, too.
It beats all the Local Oktoberfest Fest Food, too. Maybe I just haven't found the right one in Summit County OH Area.

Great food & drinks- atmosphere is simple and enjoyable. We enjoyed our visit. Waiter seemed a little overwhelmed, but still did ok.

They had a recent renovation and the environment is clean and enjoyable to eat in. The food was very delicious. I had the kase snitzel and perogies. The snitzel was not dry and had a delicious lemon sauce. The perogies were also well cooked and had a nice crisp to them. The cabbage soup was also very good and came out piping hot! The one thing I would say was lacking was the side mashed potatoes, they were a little dull in flavor. The service was also very good. Respectful, timely, and helpful.
Overall, a great experience.

Food was good to great. Schnitzels were well done. Potato pancakes excellent. Saur Kraut balls exceptional. Chicken Paprikash average. Wait time was long but pandemic waits in Cleveland have been much worse. I read the negative reviews but have to say that this place in a 4.5/5 site for home style German food.

Wow, this place was soooo good! We visited from out town and wanted something we couldn't get at home. So glad we came here! I had the Rinder goulash and it was incredible! All the food was delicious but the kraut balls are another must have.

I ordered the Deutsch Platte and French Onion Soup, and everything was superb! There's no doubt why this place is popular. I sat at the bar because the place was packed, and I got to enjoy their home brewed Hefeweizen. Fair warning: on busy nights, you may have to park further out from the restaurant, but it's definitely worth it in my opinion.

We were in Cleveland and searched for German restaurants to try. This was one of the options. Soooo glad we chose to go here vs one of the others. The food was outstanding! The Bavarian pretzel with Dijon and Beer Cheese is a must! I have no idea what is in that cheese or the Dijon, but it the best I've EVER had! I ordered the stuffed peppers that were on special today. Ohh boy they had a kick, but delicious! Pierogies had a great taste to them too, and my other half said the Wurst Platte was delish! Will likely be our go-to stop while in the Cleveland/Parma area. Less than a 10 minute drive from Public Square! Thank you for the experience and Jordan provided excellent service!

Food is good. Our second visit was disappointing from a servicing standpoint. 90 minutes to get our food and we had to let another server know we had been forgotten about. Will be awhile before we go back.

Food was delicious, very authentic. Reminded me of dinner in Wuppertal, when I first had schnitzel. Wait staff was very attentive.

Took my friend for 70th Birthday dinner
tonight. Food was very good, huge portions! I had the pork Schnitzel with Spaetzle and red cabbage. My friend had the Puten Schnitzel. We arrived early not busy. By the time we left place was getting very busy. Server was very good. Black Forest Chocolate Cake was delicious. They even sang Happy Birthday to my friend! Definitely want to return and try another dinner. Forgot, the bread served at the beginning is wonderful!

The food was okay but it took an hour and 20 minutes to get it. The service was the worst service I have ever had in my lifetime. Do not recommend this place.
