Dave's Hot Chicken, Columbus OH

I had this for the first time today. Never heard of it before. Saw it from the bookstore, so I decided to give it a go. Placed an order and it said 10 minutes. I walked in almost right after. I was greeted by a man in a yellow hat (I took him to be the manager). I told him I was there for pickup and it probably wasn't ready yet (I was pretty early). He said he only needed 2 minutes. I noticed the interesting decor and good music. He had my order out in 2 minutes. Now, we had to wait about an hour to eat it, and I wasn't going to slight the restaurant on freshness. We started eating and both my daughter and I were very impressed. The chicken was amazing and the seasoned fries complimented it extremely well. The mac and cheese was great as well. I liked that it was a dry rub type of chicken. The seasoning was amazing. I'll definitely be back for sure. The staff was great and the food was equally as great.

I was met by a man named Greg, and it would be worth it to come here if all you did was talk to Greg. He was a great help on my first visit. That said, when you come here you really got to try it.

The star of the show is going to be the chicken. All their chicken is boneless white meat. So, if, like me, you prefer dark meat, well try it anyway.

They can actually bring some heat here, which is rare for Ohio. I tried the two hottest levels today. They both brought heat. I was happy.

They have crinkly fries which we're good. I wanted to try their mac and cheese, which is certainly not what I make it home, but the flavor was good and the elbow noodles for properly cooked.

They have a Coke machine, which also has Dr. Pepper (so my daughter would be happy).

And finally, they have milkshakes made with real ice cream. Apparently I got one that's chocolate

The chicken is fresh the medium spice is not too hot the tenders are huge the sandwiches are huge and the price is respectable

2 meals and 2 drinks were $32 and all you get are 2 tenders and some fries. I personally didn’t like the flavor. We had lite mild and medium. They weren’t very spicy I just didn’t care for the seasoning. However the staff was friendly and the food came out quickly.

Wow! That chicken sandwich was a so good! I got the hot right under the reaper / the seasoned fried were crinkle cut crispy and hot the chicken crisp tasty and hot - the pickles were crunch- great portion great price! Impressed! Will come back and I recommend!

Can’t speak more highly of the service we received from Gregory! He walked us through the menu for the first time and was extremely friendly The food came out hot and looked almost identical to what we have seen online. I got medium spice level and will try hot next for a bit more spice. Kale slaw was a good accent and the Dave’s sauce is almost like yum yum sauce or 1000 island. Personally I prefer Hot Chicken Takeover or Cane’s but this is a good alternative! Pricing is on par with other similar options.

Tonight for what has been previously. Tonight I I was disappointed when I got home from the drive through to discover that I did not receive what I ordered and the chicken was overdone. Much poorer quality than I enjoyed previously. The fries were still great however.

Great atmosphere, great staff, and great food!

My girlfriend and I were greeted a friendly greeting upon entry. It was our first time at Dave's Hot Chicken. The young fellow at the register was kind enough to introduce himself and the other nearby staff on duty. The menu isn't extensive, so making a decision was easy enough. The food took, perhaps, 2 minutes to make its way out. It is among the BEST chicken I've ever tasted. The chicken was so fresh, tender, juicy, and crispy (all the best things chicken can be). Oh! And it's halal! We hadn't finished our food and we were already planning our next trip here. I highly recommend it to all!

Great chicken. Pretty good fries. Slider might as well be called a sandwich with essentially a whole chicken breast, slaw and lots of pickle. Bun is small, thus the slider designation. Bigger than a dinner roll. Probably the size of small hamburger buns at the grocery. Got the medium heat. Warmed my mouth, but no more. Will go up to hot next time. Crinkle Fries were hot and crisp. Good job at the drive thru speaker helping a first timer.

I've had a variety of different spices levels, and they've all been great. Drive through is pretty fast too

I got the sliders and fries combo. It was AMAZING! I got my food very quickly before I even got to sit down. The store is super clean and staff are very friendly. But the best part was the food. The chicken was fresh and juicy and it was so tasty. The fries were amazing. This was a great experience. Definitely will keep coming back.

Good food, slow service, expensive prices for what you get. Combos do not include your drink.

This is some of the best tasting chicken I have ever had. The heat is definitely there but so is the flavor. This is a two thumbs up meal!

The staff was super nice and attentive. I ordered the single slider (mild) with a side of Mac n cheese rather than fries. I absolutely recommend it! My spouse got the 2 sliders (extra hot) and cheese fries.l and he also enjoyed his. Try this place!

Their service was incredible at the drive thru, I was asked if it were my first time, and yes it was, I got the two Tender meal that comes with fries, I love cheese I added their nacho cheese, I absolutely loved their fries as well as their nacho cheese, from what I'm told its all home made pretty much and tasted really rich and cheesy. Their chicken was pretty good but I started to get a taste of pickles in my mouth, I really dislike pickles so i had to give the chicken to someone else and they loved it. So if you like pickles you'll most likely love their chicken
