This company is easy to work with, provided a clear explanation of the process, and had good prices!
Mike was prompt, professional, friendly and went above and beyond. I had asked him to test the living room parquet mastic for asbestos, but he also asked about the rest of the house. He took four more samples in the kitchen, hall closet and bedroom, at no extra charge. Not a single sample location is visible - he even glued back a small piece of Pergo that split off from the corner behind the fridge.
Turns out there was asbestos backing on old linoleum, covered up by floating floor and carpeting before I bought the house 21 years ago. He gave accurate advice on how to deal with the problem when I get new floors put in, based on what he saw that day. Flooring centers have said the same things.
He sent me the full report just 2-3 days after he was here. Granted, the results were obvious from their in-house tests and did not have to be sent out to a lab to be sure, but still - that's impressive turn-around. I'm very grateful.
Was very friendly on the phone and in person.worked me in a timely fashion. And showed up when they said they was going to. Results came back the next day.
Mike came out to test some drywall and vinyl flooring prior to a renovation project. He was very knowledgeable and helpful as to which materials could possibly contain asbestos! Would recommend him and Dayton Environmental Testing if you suspect you might have hazardous materials in your home!
Mike and Dayton Environmental Testing are top notch. I ran into an issue in our basement and he was a great resource with coming up with strategies that best fit our need. It was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had and Mike and DET are genuine, honest and caring. Would recommend them to anyone.
