I called to try to schedule an appointment to get my error code issue fixed. No one has returned my phone call. I spoke with someone that said they would call me back. This was months ago unfortunately. Going into another Winter with an expensive stove that doesn’t always work.

My fireplace is throwing error codes and won’t start properly on occasion. I called the store to schedule an appt to have some come out and service it this past winter and I never received a call back.

Overall my experience with this fireplace has been a step above frustrating. I’ve learned that if I bypass my thermostat to have the fireplace on full blast and I use my furnace fan to regulate the temperature in the house it’s a more pleasant experience. If the fire isn’t extremely strong, the fan slows way down which is terribly frustrating which I why I implemented this strategy of super hot fires all the time. Using the fireplace thermostat is frustrating because it cuts off the oxygen to a point that you’re left with huge clumps of coal in the morning that are insulted by ash, so they won’t burn well or at all. I found myself cleaning my fireplace daily, separating the coal and ash.

This would not be so frustrating if I haven’t had years of experience not having to deal with this headache using a buck stove.

Update / Edit July 18 2021 -

The team has installed the new motherboard and modified the fans to blow more air. I am hopeful that this winter will be better with these modifications. Keeping this at 3 stars until we get an opportunity to try the stove this winter.

The team has ordered parts and we have scheduled to replace some believed to be malfunctioning electronics. I’ve updated the experience to 3 stars.

I spent $8,200 on a fireplace that was supposed to be the best fireplace money could buy. Having had a buck stove for almost 15 years, I am very very disappointed in this product.

We purchased the Pioneer 3 with a heat distribution fan. After install the company fully admitted that the heat distribution kits don’t work and refunded my money for that portion. Now I have a vent fan in my wall that serves no function and I’m also out the money I spent on an electrician to wire it up.

The stove we got barely puts out any heat. The fan is so weak, you have to put your ear right by the fireplace to hear it, or feel it. The heat from the glass gives off as much heat as the fan.

After a service visit, I was told that the fan is functioning properly and this is as good as it gets. I can not believe that Quadrafire is still in business, that’s how poor this fire place performs.

The installation team did a great job, and they were great to work with.

To be fair, the company has not declined to work with me yet, and this review will be modified if the company can come to a resolution with me.

Use these guys every year to service my gas fireplaces. Brian came this year and did a fantastic job. Protected my house, made my requested adjustments, was on time and super friendly. I highly recommend to everyone, but schedule early. Like all good businesses they are busy during the season. Great job Brian and DFP (again)!

It was a pleasure working with Dayton Fireplace Systems. They were quick in responding to my repair request, willing to communicate via text and made it easy to schedule. Brian was professional and courteous on site. We are very happy with the results.

I am a contractor in the area. I have used them a lot over the years. I set an appointment at their request. They set the appointment for 10am. I arrived at the project 25 minutes earlier. I witnessed the driver driving out of the appointment address. I called their office and they told me that he had questions. I asked, I'm here early and why you would set an appointment if your not going to keep the appointment? This is not the first time it has happened. But, it is the last time I will use them on my projects, personally or business. Their Customer service on my installs and appointments are very frustrating

We are very pleased with our fireplace makeover done by Dayton Fireplace Systems. Although there was a long lead time, the firebox replacement was quick and efficient and the craftsmanship of Dan the mason was amazing. I highly recommend Dayton Fireplace.

Owner/customer service has great communication and worked through repairs at our home. Very professional and fair as we had a fireplace cover replaced. Would recommend.

Stopped in to see if they had some trim parts for an old discontinued fireplace. The salesman custom made two of what I was looking for in about 10 minutes and said no charge. Very kind and much appreciated.

Today, Mark Bell installed a Vermont Castings direct vent gas stove in the family room. He is a credit to your business. He was thorough and efficient-great work ethic and attention to detail!
