My wife had a colonoscopy yesterday and everyone was very nice and professional. The procedure did not take long.
Dr Stone is wonderful;she spent time throughly going over the results with us and offered suggestions for medication. Her assistants were very kind and professional as well.
We’ve always had positive experiences over the years at Dayton Gastro- Especially with Dr Stone.
Thank you, Dayton Gastro!

Your Drs and staff are great. I can't stress how nice and professional this office is and it's Drs. It is the same quality as a 5 star resort. Just top quality patient care. Super nice people that care.but please find somewhere else to refer for your covid testing besides the md access in miamisburg. A drive up site would be better. This place is NASTY. If it was a restaurant I wouldn't get take out for my cat. There has to be a better way. I feel like if I don't have it now I will in a couple weeks.

I'm a Tricare recipient and my colonoscopy screening visit was incredibly well run starting with the WPMC Referral Management, initial call to Dayton Gastroenterology, clear procedures for prescriptions and easy pickup at WP Kittyhawk pharmacy, third party drive through Covid 19 test at Montgomery County fairgrounds, checkin at Dayton Gastroenterology, prep, procedure, and recovery.
What I appreciated the most are the people! Careful attention to communication with me at every step of the way certainly helped relieve any anxiety I may have had over a first time Colonoscopy. It might at times seem like a factory production line in the prep area with specialists doing their work but each person knew their job and did it well. Shout out to pre and post op nurses and to the anesthesiologist and GI Dr. Bhoopal for listening to my special concerns before the procedure. Bravo!

Nurse, Anesthesiologist, and dr were amazing however I was misled regarding my health benefits as a staff member informed me that my insurance was tier 1. I always meet my tier 1 by February so I had my procedure. I got a surprise bill and was told that the dr is tier 1 but anesthesia and facility are tier 2. I feel very mislead and very upset about a surprise $680.00 bill. If I would have known a head of time about the tier 2 info I would have happily gone somewhere else. I had to call twice and I was then informed that 2 other people had talked to me about my billing issue. Surprise again because I called on 9/9/20 and was told I would receive a call back which I NEVER did and that is why I had to call again. I feel the office staff has been dishonest and misleading which is a shame because the medical staff were top notch! BEWARE!

I had my colonoscopy today. My first one!

The only bad thing I experienced was what I expected. Prep and fear!

Dr. Usman and the staff were all amazing. They made me feel safe which is always a concern when I need to be sedated for anything. I did not encounter 1 bad thing.

I would recommend Dayton Gastro to anyone that needs their service! Thank you for taking the fear out of a necessary test. I have family that have had colon cancer! Please dont fear this procedure and you wont if you see Dr. Usman!

Thank you to all staff members I encountered!

They NEVER return phone calls. And frankly I don’t think they care one bit about their patients. Just the $$$ they can get from you. 100% do not recommend

I went to Dr Ikramuddin for a colonoscopy simply to rule out any GI reason for the pelvic pain that I had been having. I did not have a single GI-related symptom, but understood the need to rule out that as a possibility. I explained all of this to him at the initial consultation and he was very pleasant and very understanding about my fears regarding having a colonoscopy and did his best on the day of the procedure to be sure that the process was as smooth as it could be for me. I found out several weeks afterward, however, that part of the pre-procedure bloodwork that he had ordered was nearly $1000 worth of GENETIC testing that my insurance company refuses to pay for. I have no family history of GI issues (which was clear from the intake form and medical history that I filled out) and was having no GI symptoms (which he also knew). So why did he order GENETIC testing? !? I could understand if he had found something concerning during the colonoscopy and then wanted to do it, but even then I should have been told that he wanted to that type of blood work. I agree with the insurance company that this testing was unnecessary and that it is unclear how information gained from this testing would in any way affect my treatment (since I STILL don’t have the first GI symptom), so how am I supposed to appeal their decision? So I am now stuck with a huge bill for something I didn’t need and didn’t know was being ordered. I will never go back. Clearly the doctor is getting some type of financial kickback from ordering this EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE lab work.

On June 5,2017 Dr. Walsh performed a colonoscopy on me. I have
been seeing Dr. Walsh for severe stomach pains and I also seen his nurse practioner once regarding the stomach pains. When I questioned the doctor on June 5,2017 about stomach pains he got very upset with me and said this is the fourth time I sked him about the pains and he said he would discuss them when he returns from his vaction. He told me to take Tylenol for the pain. The pain was so bad that I went to the emergency room on June 17,2017. I was admitted to the hospital because after a ct scan was done it showed a blockage where the small intestine meets the large intestine. Surgery was performed 18 inches of small intestine was removed and part of the large intestine removed. I was told I have stage 4 cancer. Dr. Walsh did not want to listen to my complaint of stomach pains. I suggest to anyone who reads this review to stay away from Dr. Walsh. He does not take the time to listen to his patients. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR

Dr. Walsh is rude and condescending! I am in need of surgery, was referred to Dr. Walsh, he told me to loose weight, then proceeded to tell me to "just put the fork down". What I would give to just loose weight!

Very organized. It's the easiest walking to the inside, as well as leaving. Building is well designed for patients in mind. Staff is very skilled and friendly.
