DFAS Cleveland & Rome are easily the worst agencies to deal with. Whether as a customer, or agency to agency, they genuinely don’t care. There is no accountability. So, efficient & effective customer service are of no concern for DFAS. The customer service surveys are simply there for the sake of being there. I encourage customers to submit complaints to the DOD Inspector General regarding the fraud, waste, & abuse that is rampant at DFAS. In addition to retaliation against whistleblowers, travel fraud, conflicts of interest, and mismanagement.

Worst service i have every seen, mypay account hacked direct deposit was changed never got any notification until i looked to c were my heck went alled these people and they said takes time even though they know were its at and what happened but if i was an illegal i would be taken care of

There is no customer service. There is no accountability and it seems no one to complain to about the lack of service

I tried to change where my monthly check should be deposited. I have not received a check in four months and now I find my account was put in suspension. Absolutely no notification! Sloppy operation, no communication albeit they have all contact information. Real bummer

This is definitely the WORST PLACE on the Planet when it comes to pay and deductions! The customer service personnel is filled with people that read off of a script and refer you to MNCC for everything. They can't do anything in-house and there is NO ACCOUNTABILITY! You would think with a rating of 1.6; Someone would audit records, check efficiency or come up with a better way of doing things.
This place CONSISTENTLYfails Servicemembers. I would give it a "0" if possible.

Worst customer service sadly they can get away with it because government doesn't deal with anyone else for pay. They were unable to answer or fix anything. I do not recommend trying to talk with customer service. They talk down to you like they're on a throne and you're beneath them. They basically taxed me $1400 on $1900 and there's no way their helping get it back.

Total disregard for what they are supposed to be there to support. I tried to change my direct deposit account number and was blocked and suspended for 24hrs because I didn't know the exact month, day, and year of my retirement 28 years ago. I missed the date by one day.

DFAS-CLEVELAND FIX YOURSELF. My former husband, who is a newly retired Lt. Col, began receiving his retirement benefits in October 2022. Our decree has been in place for 8 years with allocations outlined and set for him and for me. FIVE MONTHS LATER, Lt. Col.has received all of his pension every month and I have yet to see $1. I understand things happen. I do not understand why it takes half a year to correct an error when it does happen?

They don’t return calls. Person who is supposed to be “helping” him get this corrected does not call for WEEKS. Nor does she return calls and messages in general really. Maddening.

There is NO phone number listed on the website. NO email or contact info listed for any of the leadership in this office. And can someone please tell me why our US military DOES NOT ACCEPT EMAIL OR ANY FORM OF DIGITAL CORRESPONDENCE? !? !? The entire world is digitalized. But not our own military. SMH.

Slow. Indifferent. Incompetent. Dismissive. Unavailable. Not knowledgeable. Clueless. Selfish. Inefficient. Untrained. Ignorant.

A few words to describe the personnel at DFAS-CLEVELAND…and I’m talking about their LEADERSHIP. That’s where it all starts. This is unacceptable.
