Spent Friday Saturday Sunday here. Need to have potable water at a place near where you pull in. Shouldn't have to drive a though the campground looking for a place to fill your tank.
And if you're going to bring your dog camping, take responsibility for your dog and keep it quiet.

Don't like curtains in the showers. A woman opened my curtain wide open, and I was completely naked. I had some noisy neighbors.

Just about the only thing of note on State Route 146 west of Zanesville is the Dillon State Park.
For the campgrounds, the trails are nice and they give you an electrical outlet for you to use how you see fit.
Glamping, epic style.

It was sort of confusing where our lot ends and where the neighboring lot begins.

Every lot has a tree planted close to the parking spot, as well as a picnic table. The table was in fine enough condition for our needs.

The picnic table was in the parking space when we arrived, so we had to move it.

Most of my problems with this location are the bugs, summer heat, and cold nights. Not really anything that's wrong with this campground, just camping as a whole.
I mean, look, I make reviews on a smartphone. Maybe camping just isn't my style, but this campground is nice.

We really enjoyed Dillon state park. Lots of hiking and biking trails. The beach was beautiful! Nice playground, tennis courts and basket ball. There is an 18 hole disc golf course. The sites are a good size! We also enjoyed the Dillon dam. With plenty of fishing. They have nice cabins you can rent for your family. We will be back!

Camping site lots are close together. Non-electric has plenty of trees. Very quiet and different feel from electric lots.

The showers here are a disgusting disgrace. As FL and GA state park volunteers, our job was keeping the bathrooms and bath houses clean. I have never seen so much scum and crud in one place. Never again.

There are 12 non electric campsites that are within a quick walk to the bathroom or the shower house with more bathrooms. There's a camp store with a laundry facility.

Why do tweakers think it's okay to smoke meth all day (and night) on top of kids? I know you know how toxic that stuff is. You're not coming for the lake, you just sit in the camper and make pigs of yourself. Can't you do that where the thing was parked? Why do you feel the need to do it in as public of a space as you can find? On state property no less? You'd think after a few statewide campground bannings OH could get this under control pretty easily. I'd comment on the rest of it but this is the overwhelming experience.

Pretty, well-designed campgrounds. The shower houses could use an update
Peaceful. Great location near Blackhand Gorge.

This is a beautiful state park. We are camping with our travel trailer and the sites are well kept. Water pressure is low (40psi) but we can leverage our water tank if need be. The beach is super clean. Riding bikes around here is just a pleasure. No designated bike lanes but people do pass with care. If you are into astrophotography there's a "sky view" spot that provides a clearing and flat platform you can setup at.

I absolutely love this park. It's beautiful. We go here almost every year and I always get the cabins on site. They are better than most hotel rooms I've had and you can't beat the price for the amount of space and amenities. If you get the upgraded cabins, the mattresses are as good as a hotel and they can come with a fireplace, cable TV and a full kitchen with basic dishes and cookware. And of course there's linens for the beds (packaged up so you know they are. Fresh and clean!) And towels so you can take a shower without having to bring along bulky towels along. I love sitting in the screen porch in the morning drinking a cup of coffee too. Overall highly recommend the cabins. Honestly, I usually just kind of hang around that area but the woods around it is beautiful and I plan to play on the disc golf course on site next time I visit! Lots of wildlife, over the years I've seen a whole bunch of deer, tons of birds, butterflies, and others, even a skunk passed through once! They do have a camp store on site that has a lot of basic stuff like camping supplies and drinks and ice cream as well. Also the staff has always been super kind and friendly which is always lovely to come back to!

We stayed 8 days in FHU site 27 that was very nice and mostly level. Everything was maintained nicely, grass was kept short and the fire pits were clean. The shower house was pretty clean, even on the weekend when the park was full. The beach was maintained nicely as well, not sure how the water was - we didn't actually get in it but it looked like every other Ohio lake. The park is definitely kid friendly, but it wasn't roudy at all - even being so close to the playground (3 sites away)

My only real complaints were low water pressure & the laundry area only had 2 of 6 washers working. If you plan to do laundry either be patient or hit the laundromat in Zanesville about 15 mins away. Neither of these issues were a deal breaker.

Really good hiking within an hour or so of the park in most any direction.

Nice place to camp. RV's and tent camping. Wish the beach was walking distance but it's not to far to drive.

Great park. Staff is non existence. Never saw camp host and NO ONE cleans between campers. Several tags still on post from previous camper. Sign on check in station says Go to park office- it would be nice to know that before pulling in with motorhome pulling towed vehicle. Mentioned to the lady at check in and her response " yeah, other people have told us that! " duh! Great park with lots of trails for hiking. Great beach. Clean restrooms and shower house. Very few full hook ups but overall great stay.

Weekend camping limited our choices of spots. Shady spots are nice and unshaded spots were Hell!

Second time going to the campgrounds here. It's always packed but is a very well maintained park and campsites. The beach area and lake are amazing, the pictures speak for themselves go check this place out you won't be disappointed whatever it is you enjoy. Disc golf course makes it that much more of a little gem near Columbus.

Stayed for a weekend end of June. Was NOT impressed. Hard to level camper, site in need of repair (picnic table, fire ring etc) pavement tilted back and sideways. The bathrooms were DISGUSTING.they were never cleaned the whole weekend. Never did see a camp host at all. 3 - 4 times a day people on golf carts and side by side would come from camp A and travel through each camp section and if you were having a converstion you had to stop till they got way past you cause their music was so loud you couldn't hear anything. Now don't get me wrong.i don't mind hearing peoples music but i also want to be able to talk to my group.
It's just a campground that went in my book under the NO section. They only got a 2 because they did have a VERY nice park and beach area, but unfortunately you have to load everything up and drive there. But its not to far.

We rented a cabin for 3 nights and it was pretty nice, layout wise. Pros of the cabin were that even tho the other cabins are close, you still felt secluded and it was quiet. They supplied almost everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. The cons - the beds were hard as a rock, the screened in sunroom was like a spider breeding ground…there were even daddy long legs and other insects inside the house and it wasn’t from us leaving any doors open. Went home with itchy bites all over me that weren’t from mosquitoes. Still trying to get rid of them now a week later. We made the best of it but sadly will not be returning.
