Doctor Shoe reviews
11Randy provided dope service at a truly compelling price. Go to this location. Wont get my boots back til mid Jan but I'm not in a rush
One of the last places you can get shoe repairs. I had to get my heel replaced on a pair of cowboy boots done on a short notice and the cobbler did it under 24 hours without any issues. I will come back here in the future.
The owner said they were to busy to fix my daughter dance shoe straps. He said he had a whole back room to fix. No cust service skills.whatsoever. We left. Unfortunately this shop is located in the heart of Westerville. A prime location for a service such as this.
Stopped by Doctor Shoe in Uptown Westerville to have a large circular stain on my light brown leather boots checked out. The man working took them to the back for about 5 minutes and when he brought them back the spot was gone!
After just this short experience it's clear this shop is run by people who are great at what they do and are knowledgeable about working with leather.
People on other reviews complaining about odd hours or at times unreliable turnaround need to realize this is likely a one or two person operation and appreciate that for what it is. This is not some slick operation. Shop small and give this place a go.
I dropped off a pair of my daughter’s dance shoes that needed rubber placed on the bottom of them. I was told they would be done in a few days. 1 week later, they are still not done and there was no phone call placed to let me know. Disappointing customer service.
Best way to breathe life into worn shoes. Restored my favorite Allen Edmonds to new, instead of wasting three or four times the money on a new pair. Will continue to go back as long as I'm walking through dress shoes!
Dr. Shoe fixed 2 of my purses that had broken handles. He put on gold rivets that match where the leather was ripping. They look brand new. He did it in a timely fashion and I would recommend this establishment to anyone needed a fix for shoes, purses, etc.
I went to Doctor Shoe on my lunch break to pick up my boots. I arrived at 2: 40 p.m. The sign on the door said "return at 2: 45". So I decided to wait. I stayed until 2: 52 p.m. At which point the store owner have not returned yet and I had to leave to get back to work. Very unprofessional and a complete waste of time.
This place came highly recommended, but I was highly disappointed. Dropped off a pair of riding boots for a zipper repair. Was told "no problem", should be ready in the most 2 weeks. After almost 2 months and a few calls to the store I was told sorry, we cant fox them. Really? After my calls to them, after being told they could fix the zipper, after 2 months+, NOW you cant fix it. Hell, i bet they didn't even look at it. Will not recommend, especially if you've got a zipper problem!
First visit to Dr Shoe bringing a men's briefbag to reattach buckle and add addition leather to secure in place. First time to the shop, the CLOSED sign was up and the door not open and it was 25 minutes after 10: 00 am. I came back to the store, and owner was on the phone conversing with someone and had me stand and wait while he talked for at least 10 minutes. Said he would "try" to fix the briefbag but I needed to pay in advance. So I did and got a receipt. One week later I returned to the shop and owner apologized for not having it done because he didnt have a screwdriver small enough to remove the screws to repair. I called a couple of days later, and it was still not done. I returned to the shop with my own screwdriver from an eyeglass kit and owner promised he would have it done promptly.so. I sent my husband to pick up his briefbag with the receipt. (third visit to the shop) The shop was open but the no one was to be found. Guy finally came back in the shop from outside conversing with neighbor. Owner said he was sorry he could not repair the bag because it was the wrong size screwdriver! Is this any way to run a business? Owner said he would refund amount paid. Husband gave him our credit card because that is how he refunds? I had paid cash for repair. At any rate, I hope he does a better job repairing shoes!
