Dollar General reviews
20Ever since dollar general on oberlin ave got it's own check out you can never find help. I just got back from there. Walked up and down the aisles, yelling hello, hola. Anyone work here? No one answered. Another customer said I've been looking for help as well. Finally I gave up and was going to leave with my 1 item. As I'm checking myself out 2 people come out of the front room. Dollar general save yourself money and pay 1 employee. Why have 2 employees doing nothing. No one was on the floor helping. No one was running cash register. One of them was on their phone. This is not ok. Lazy people. Grown adults. If they dont want to be there tell them to go somewhere else. Believe it or not ppl need help. CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had to call 4x to find out the managers name. I promise you they are not that busy in the office for the phone to go unanswered. Liz is the manager of the night. You go girl. Leaving customers unhappy. Where were you when I was yelling does anyone work here? You guys dont listen for help? Liz needs demoted.
Store was pretty well wiped out. I got what I could and proceeded to the checkout. There were 2 sites, neither of which were open. I heard people in the office talking and attempted to get their attention but they ignored me. Worst service I have ever seen.
If I could I would have 0 stars. Her name is Linda from what she told me.
I walk in the store with my service companion and was refused service. She asked me to leave the dog outside, I advised this is a service companion and I am disabled. She stated that's not a service dog and no dogs allowed. I took a photo of the sign (if you need it I have it) and a customer was helping defending me letting her know it's a service companion. I have her (Daisy my service companion) and I identification but she (linda) never asked. She should be fired for not able to perform duties. I should have called the cops for harrassment, being the better person I prefer her to be gone from dollar general.
This could have went differently such as asking probing questions or identification. Daisy was in my left hand as entering the store. Shes not in her usual stroller to I had to hold her shes only 5 pounds, tripod poodle. We both can only do so much walking.
Store was quiet, was able to shop peacefully. Cashier was nice, polite and friendly. Defiantly a great experience.
Staff was helpful, provided me with a mask.store was clean.they had what I needed and were very reasonable
I like coming here always in and out everything is really easy to find staff at night is really friendly and helpful
This place to me is close for convenience. I needed chili powder. Came out with a few other items just incase I forgot I might need. Wore a mask a few other people in the store. Social distancing is practiced. They clean their buggies or carry baskets. Very helpful and friendly.
My favorite go to neighborhood store love the manager Jenifer such a sweetheart! Always takes the time to help me with my couponing lol!
On entering Dollar General on Oberlin ave. A cashier pointed at me and ask where is my mask. I told her I have a medical exemption. Then a customer she was checking out said oh you are probably the one who is going to get it meaning the virus. I said I am not even concerned about that. I finished my shopping and proceeded to check out. Two employees kept hammering at me about wearing a mask even though I told them I have an exemption. One said her mother had all kinds of ailments but she wears a mask. I told them it's all about control and the one said no it's about health. This is the first time I have been approached about a mask. I won't be wearing a mask.
.
Was very organized clean friendly workers very helpful with what i was looking for love that store
I go to this store regularly, I have to stop at other's from time to time but never find most of the things I need, the manager Iris is very friendly and excellent at her job. She and all of her employees work hard and always treat the customers with respect and help out in anything needed.
No cold juices or water in a hot summer they trying to kill everyone with all that cold Pop in the fridge I don't need rocks in me.that's all they have that's cold everything else is hot drinks
No price on the product. Upc came up as a quilt not a wallet. 8.00 from the clearance rack. Wasn't real happy. Could of bought a regular one for 6.00
The manager is racist. I confronted her because she had a whole conversation about “black men” stealing from the store and how she felt “unsafe when the sun goes down because the crowd changes- If you know what I mean” with another patron who happened to also be white. I confronted her and obviously she changed her tune but this was so disrespectful!
I enjoy going to a of dollar Generals because they're planted everywhere and if I need a quick snack that I don't have in my apartment I go to the closest one before 9pm.
This place is better then other Dollar Generals around here. The floor are always dirty. Their shelves need to be stocked, they had zero Gatorade on the shelf. I have to say they are convenient on most stuff.
This place is disguting they dont have anything inwas looking for and stuff on the floor everywhere definately a waste of time not even worth coming here
I can always find what I'm looking for, and I love their digital coupons! Helped save myself $7 on a purchase that was already under $30 for laundry items: Gain detergent, fabric softener, oxyclean, and scent booster. Some items can be pricey, but that seems to be the norm anywhere these days. The staff is usually polite also.
No air conditioner, wow was it boiling in there. But they tried! I felt really bad for those girls that work there.
It's a Dollar General store, you can set your watch to it. Sometimes it's messy, sometimes it's not. There's only 2 people working at at a time, so it can be difficult to keep everything tidy all the time. The prices are the same nonetheless.
