Douglas Heating & Cooling, New Carlisle OH

Doug is a friend of the family so I called him to replace 2 A/C units that had been hit by a truck. He came out personally and gave me a quote. That was the only time I saw Doug. His guys came out after rescheduling twice. They replaced both A/C units and left. I have had problems ever since. First the thermostat went out so we replaced the thermostat. The first thermostat blew promptly. Thats when my husband discovered the lackeys had run the wire through the sharp metal casing cutting the wires and causing the wires to cross and blow the thermostat and the computer board on the unit. We replaced them both ourselves even though we paid a professional almost $8000. My husband was angry at the lack of professionalism he didn't want them to come back to fix it. We were still having problems with the units and and my husband decided to take the units apart and figure out what was wrong before firing up the furnaces for the winter. That is when my husband discovered they didn't even put the units back together and tape them up properly. I am appalled at the lack of professionalism and the all the stress this has caused me after paying a so called professional almost $8000.00 to do a simple job.

First 2 times out here good service this last time I had to remined them of my appointment on 11-5-2021 and set it up with my neighbor at the same time to help them save time. Appointment has been set up for a year got a call the night before and asked if they could push time back to 10: 30 because a person had no heat and they would call and let me know they are on their way. Set here all day wasting my time called them about 4 times and left a voice mail one day later no answer this is very poor and you can't leave a comment on their web site. They did get back with me said there was a mix up and reschedule a time showed up and did what was needed and the service person put slip on over his shoes so not to track in mud.

I've used this company twice now. The first time was to move my condenser unit while a concrete patio was poured. The second time was due to an issue with my thermostat. Both times, the technicians were very knowledgeable and professional. This second time, they took time over the phone to discuss possible causes for my unit not working. Then they fit me into a tight schedule to get it fixed quickly. I'm very grateful for their service!

Douglas Heating and Cooling installed central air in my home and have been out twice to fix problems NOT of their doing.
Their installers are professional, neat, and know "their stuff" quite thoroughly. They welcomed my questions and told me everything I wanted to know and several things I needed to know but didn't know it.
Both service calls were responded to quickly and the problem was not due to their system but to my ignorance or error. I was not charged for the first call and only half price for the second one. I have yet to be invoiced for furnace filters I bought that an employee dropped off. My decision to go with Douglas is feeling like a win/win decision for me.

Douglas gets it right! Technician Jaron diagnosed and fixed our problem within 10 minutes on a Saturday morning during the first freeze of the season. So glad we were warm and toasty in no time.
