I heard good things threw a friend, couple friends, but the scheduling is a joke, you can't just call & schedule like a normal, person you have to text them, I made a appt & they canceled bc I guess I was suppose to text them back saying that I was still coming, now I'm trying to schedule right now no one text back to answer my questions, very frustrating
I’ve been visiting Courtney my esthetician for about a month and a half now. She’s honestly helped my skin out so much. Especially since I had so much acne and lost a lot of my confidence due to it. She’s helped me work on a skin care routine which has helped me out so much and minimized my acne. I look forward to every time I go to her.
There is something about Dr. Hicks-Grahm that I really like. Maybe it's her presence that does it. I had a good feeling about her when she entered the room and gave me a bright warm smile. I really do appreciate Doctors that are not in a rush and takes time to listen to their patients. Dr. Hicks-Graham is also one of them. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of a wonderful dermatologist I want to add that her staff are very kind people. I love the overall quality of service there!
I've heard mixed experiences and each person's situation and needs are different, however I have been very pleased with DD. Dr. Hoover is a a gem. You cannot leave without feeling good after seeing him. And he walks you back to the front desk himself (I am sure only when time permits, I don't expect this every time). I originally had a consultation at another derm office on Bethel Rd - it was a terrible experience, they charged $479 before insurance, and I was prescribed topical and oral antibiotics for my (mild/medium?) rosacea. At DD, I first met with Jana who ran tests to make sure there was no auto-immune disease present and started me with a topical antibiotic only (no oral) for a few weeks to see how my skin reacted. She recommended using Vanicream face wash and moisturizer which helped immensely with my skin that was so sensitive and irritated, at one point I could only use coconut oil for it not to burn. The first derm didn't want to even talk products that I was using and he was rather rude. Bonus that these products are very affordable at any CVS, etc, nothing fancy. I haven't used anything else since. She then recommended two laser sessions at my follow-up for the redness I was still having, stopping the topical treatment, and that's when I met Dr. Hoover. WOW! I am so pleased with the results. I had over 50% improvement in the first session (I honestly want to say 70% but don't want to exaggerate). I had my second session today. I also started using the ISDN mineral SPF 50 they recommended which goes on sooo nicely and smoothly. Currently using the tinted version, I don't even put makeup on after. The tint will likely be too much in winter which then I'll switch to the regular. Dr. Hoover prescribed a custom-made treatment solution to use going forward to help with the results and it is only $35+shipping. So far this office has not been pushing any unnecessary products, they have kept it super simple and affordable. I will need to step up my skin care/products but I haven't been bombarded at all, I was the one actually asking what else I can do/use. I believe once a month they have a day where you can pay full upfront and get 15% off certain things - that's what I did for my laser treatments. For me and the skin issues I was experiencing, DD has been wonderful.
