Dr. Timothy Rust reviews
5Really awful experience with this guy. Just overall was extremely patronizing from the get-go. Actually tried to refer me back to my own primary care doc. When I tried to explain that I had a gene mutation (found in a genetic exome test) and told him the gene, he thought I said "the chocolate gene" (ya know, because I was slurring my speech due to not being treated for the condition I have). To assume that I am THAT stupid was so insulting. I would try to explain to him what I was feeling physically and he would say patronizing statements like "I can see why you'd think that". NO! That IS what I feel, not what I "think". If you have MG, do NOT go here, he claims to be an expert (he made sure to mention that at least 5 different times, no exaggeration) but doesn't know that heat makes MG worse. Was very much of the thought that if you didn't show immediate weakness, you couldn't have MG, even though its a disease causing rapid fatigue where you could start at full strength. Just really simple fundamental things that he doesn't know that is really really dangerous for other patients.
Dr. Rust was very informative and explained my procedure step by step as it was performed. He was able to answer any questions I had and did so with kindness. I say this because of an awful experience I had with a different Doctor who did a previous EMG. I had zero bruising afterwards and Dr Rust talked to me with respect. He did not dismiss any of my questions or symptoms I was experiencing. Would recommend Dr. Rust to anyone in need of a compassionate Neurologist.
Excellent Prompt Dr. Very caring takes time to know the patient. I am a caregiver for my stepfather whom has dementia I actually wrote a letter to Dr. Rust explaining my stepfather challenge before this disease. HE ACTUALLY READ IT before our appointment. He is very personable and caring I would highly recommend him, once my stepfather needed more than he, he recommended a specialist in this field Alzheimer's/dementia.
Thank you Dr Rust.
Amazing. He was an excellent physician and took his time with me and my condition. He is doing more tests for an official diagnosis instead of just guessing about my symptoms. He was professional and had great bedside manner. I will have follow appts with him and I feel he is a good choice for my ongoing care.
