Dr. Trista's Children's Dentistry, Lyndhurst OH

Do NOT take your child here! The reviews are right. It is extremely unprofessional. They tried yelling at me and threatening to bill me finance charges FOR THEIR MISTAKE! The young girl on the phone just kept saying "if you dont pay you will collect finance charges" after I explained to her SEVEN TIMES that they have the wrong person and I paid my bill IN FULL! Im not understanding what she wasn't comprehending but she FINALLY realized the mistake and instead of apologizing LIKE A PROFESSIONAL, she just said, "oh, we need to look into this further, but ignore our messages". YOU THINK? A month later I got a statement for $2. YEA OK! WAIT FOR THAT PAYMENT. I DON'T OWE YOU ALL ONE RED CENT! So sad because my child has been going there for years. It's gone downhill bad.

Horrible Horrible Horrible Place to take your child! My Son has been going there 3 years never late, and they randomly called saying don’t take his insurance! When I informed them that I have other insurance they kept me on hold then hung up I called back 3 times which they then put me back on hold! I will be contacting the BBB and having all my friends and family members remove their kid from this dentistry! The stuff is rude and disrespectful as well! Very unprofessional!

Not sure how she is still in business. This is by far the most unprofessional dentist office around. They violated patient rights and hipaa. They also turn patients away after they come in for their appointment. Will waste your time and make you wait then tell you they aren't seeing you.

Myself and a friend of mine experienced discrimination at two separate times i would not recommend.

Dr. Trista has the absolute worst attitude and very rude. I will not be taking my kids back. We’ve been twice and my first time should’ve been my last. Both times we went there was mysteriously an insurance problem. I called my insurance and she refused to talk with them after she told me to call them.

I really wish I would have checked reviews first. Anytime I took my older son, there was always something. But I let it go because they were so nice on our first visit. However, when we needed our second son to start getting care, we booked and appointment and showed up to the appointment just to be told they cancelled it. Huh? ! How do you cancel my appointment without my consent? They said they called me twice to confirm and I didn’t answer. I missed the second call because I was at work! The first call was automated and when I pressed “1” to confirm, it told me there was an error and disconnected the call. I called the office back both times and got their voicemail. I left two messages saying we will be there and asked them not to cancel, just to arrive and the front desk lady (or anyone) hadn’t even checked the voicemail. What is the point of running a business if you are going to cancel all your clients? The family behind us also had their appointment cancelled and the front desk lady mentioned they cancelled a lot the day before. How does a business run this way? Zero stars. I’m so annoyed. I should have listened when two different people said they didn’t have good experiences here. Please do not waste your time.

I don't understand who gives them license to work, they don't even know how to talk with their clients.
They called me last day before appointment and told me, we can't check your son.
Never see this before.

Be advised - this PEDIATRIC dentist does not allow *any* other siblings in the treatment space so if you show up with an older child and a baby/toddler, you will be turned away and she will refuse to treat the older child (solo OR with the parent/younger child present). Add the cost of babysitting to the cost of dental care if you choose this practice because any parent with multiples is not welcome.

Worse experience ever. Never going back there. They submitted the wrong information to the insurance saying that one of kids was not insured. I resubmitted all the information, they did not look at it and just forwarded it to the debt collecting agent. I had to pay >$300 out of my pocket when I did not need to pay a single dime because they did not submit the paperwork properly. Outrageous!

After 4 years of coming here I am taking my children to another dentist. Dr. Trista has become extremely racist and non-caring to black families. She starts doing little things to inconvenience black families in order to deny treatment to them. She won't provide all of the information for treatment in advance so when you come in to the office she tells you she can't see you. I am appalled at how rude and disrespectful she has become. I had to file a complaint with the board about this. She is discriminatory for no reason. I have never done anything to be treated in this manner. If you are black, try somewhere else.

If I could give a lower star I would. The Dr. Trista woman is RUDE. This place is just about money! The procedure she requested to do on my kids loose teeth was literally to just get a buck claiming they won’t fall out on there own. I don’t suggest going here AT ALL. One and done.

I’m not sure how they have 3 stars but that is completely ridiculous. The doctor and staff are very unprofessional and disorganized. Dr. Trista sedates all children for all procedures even small ones. The entire office staff is rude! If you set an appointment while you’re there they will cancel the appointment if you don’t text them back to confirm which is absolutely ridiculous! I’ve been turned away at several appointments just because I didn’t text back. Time off wasted!

Horrendous customer service. Sent me a surprise bill after they miscalculated my in office payment and then gave me 4 days to mail a check from out of state before threatening to ruin stellar credit by sending to collections. AVOID THIS BUSINESS.

Seriously if i could leave zero stars i would i’ve tried so hard to keep giving this dentist chance after chance but somehow it always failed please keep your kids always from this dentist she has no passion and she doesn’t care she’s all about money she don’t even talk to the parents about there feelings very rude and obnoxious staff is very rude and they all have nasty attitudes please take you children elsewhere i have never had a positive experience or relationship with dr Trista

They were great! Easy to accommodate toddlers and willing to answer any questions that I had!

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent visit to Dr. Onest's dental office. As the legal guardian of my 12-year-old nephew, I had scheduled an appointment in advance. However, the process has been marked by a lack of communication and concerning indications.

Upon arrival, I was informed that I lacked the required documentation for my nephew's guardianship. After promptly coordinating with his social worker and providing the necessary information via email, I expected a prompt response. Unfortunately, a week passed without communication.

I called to confirm the receipt of the authorization paperwork, only to be told by the dentist that it hadn't been received. The social worker intervened and received assurance that the paperwork was indeed received. Despite this, another week went by without any follow-up.

After a month of waiting, I'm disheartened by the absence of communication and the apparent disregard for my nephew's care. Upon reading other reviews of your office, I couldn't help but notice a concerning trend. While I don't intend to make unsubstantiated claims, the repeated experiences shared by others raise questions.

Given this experience and the broader concerns, I cannot recommend Dr. Onest's dental office to others seeking reliable and inclusive care.

This place is absolutely the worst place you could take your children. My son and I went today for his FIRST appointment with Dr. Trista and let’s just say it will absolutely be the last time we visit this office. My child did receive a cleaning but she did decline doing my sons fillings BECAUSE he had sickle cell (which is absolutely horrible and discriminatory) she was also incredibly HORRIBLE to her whole staff in front of all the kids and parents in the office today. The staff seems stressed by her behavior as they are trying to do their best to assist patients but with the doctor yelling at you and treating you like a child in front of patients I could only imagine the level of stress they face daily. The doctor herself is absolutely someone I’d never want near my child’s mouth EVER and if your smart you’d never take your kids here either! Very rude, unprofessional, and discriminatory “dentist”

This office is one of the worst dentist office you can ever go to the lady called me yesterday to confirm my appointment for my son today is my sons appointment and now they’re telling me they cancel my sons appointment due to the fact I didn’t text the C to confirm it again after I confirmed it with the lady that called if you guys have any other choices to go to choose them do not choose this office. I wish I can put zero stars but I can’t. They are very unprofessional. I took myself out of work took my son from school just for this appointment.
