Dublin Close To Home Center on Hospital Dr. with Urgent Care reviews
12Wife gave birth. Baby ended up in NICU at Dublin Methodist which is Nationwide childrens. It's aweful! Staff is rude and inconsiderate. Doctors only come by for 5 min a day and make life changing decisions. The staff rotates from different hospitals and different companies. Don't know who's coming or going or where they are employed. Communication is the worst! Every person follows different policies and procedures. The safe word is unsecure and the locked door to get in is easily bypassed. False sense of security! What a joke this place is. I don't know about another place to deliver but I won't be returning to Dublin or Nationwide children's. Did I mention the staff has lied to us several, yes SEVERAL, times.
Seriously, only one (1) doctor, NOT EVEN 2, from 3: 00 pm to ‘who knows when’ on a Friday? Checked in at 3: 30 and still here at 5: 20 pm waiting to see the ONLY doctor. Are we in some rural town of 100 people in the middle of nowhere? Nope, this is Dublin one of the wealthiest suburbs in the whole state of Ohio.
Broken arm after 6 year old jumped off the bunk bed. Urgent care saw us immediately and treated him with loving concern and expertise.
I brought my child in 30 minutes before closing on a Sunday after he fell and cut himself right above his eyebrow. I found them kind, thorough, and patient, even though we were obviously keeping them from going home. They did the stitches and we were on our way. I do not recall the cost, but I am sure it was cheaper than driving to the Children's ER in Lewis Center or downtown.
A couple of years back my daughter had persistent fever which they eventually found to be just a common viral fever; unfortunately, we didn't check to see if they were on our insurance plan when we went there. They even gave her a dose of Tylenol/acetaminophen without my consent.
Finally when we got the bill it was for about $$375, and they charged me $25 for the single dose of Tylenol (acetaminophen). We were really disappointed that we were ripped off by a reputable place for something as routine as a viral fever; we disputed these charges and they reduced the charges by $25 to approximately $350! We wrote them a letter expressing our dissatisfaction, and of course no one even bothered to reply or call back.
This is the kind of institution that abuses the public's goodwill and lays in wait for unsuspecting patients without insurance, one of those unscrupulous predators of the health care system. Avoid this place, and if you still end up there, watch out for that dose of Tylenol and refuse it!
We've been here multiple times and have always had a good experience. Not sure about the negative reviews some seem to be about cost, which its an urgent care its not going to be cheap especially if you've got a deductible to meet! Tonight I was in with 2 of my children under two they were very understanding as I was having trouble wrangling my oldest while carrying the car seat carrier. Two of the girls that worked there held my daughter and kept her comfortable and happy so she didn't run off (like typical toddlers do!) Doctor was quick, in a good way, but still addressed the issues thoroughly.
Stay away! This place is all about making money and all the doctors care about is how much a patient can be charged.
Took my daughter as we suspected an eye infection. She was seen by the doctor for about 10 minutes but we ended up spending 2 hours. They had her go through a series of tests including an X-ray. Every test came back clear and in the end the doctor prescribed antibiotics for an eye infection.
With insurance our bill was close to $415.
This is the second such experience we've had here as this is the only place open till 10 pm close to us. Never again will we go here. Wish there was a lower rating than 1 star.
Mostly great things to say about this center except the registration staff. They are rude will yell at kids and get downright nasty. The registration rep (female) with the spikey hair is the worst! Outside of that I can't complain.
Friendly staff but I think the Doctor that took care of my son was useless. I have no Med degree but I know when my son has infection, he kept insisting nothing he could see and just gave him an inhaler. Now he's condition is worse.
I went here because my pediatrician couldn't get me in and recommended it. Everyone in our family got strep throat and had gone to different urgent cares but with my 3 yr old I decided to stick with the pediatrician's choice. I should have read these reviews. Staff were fine, Doctor kind but the bill was ridiculous. At three different urgent cares in two different states our bill was around $100, here it was $380. I thought for sure there was a mistake but there wasn't. We haven't hit our deductible yet so it is all out of pocket. Not at all happy about this!
My husband and I took our 2 year old there today for blood work. Once we got back to the lab, there were two women there to assist. The one woman was trying to get blood and couldn't do she starts digging the needle around so obviously my daughter starts to have a meltdown. They tried the other arm and does it again! They then attempted her hand. Our daughter was obviously very upset and the one woman yelled at her! What the? I yelled back at her not to yell at her! I went and complained to the 'higher up in charge' but she wasn't in so I told them I want a phone call first thing Monday. Drive the extra time and go to the downtown children's or Westerville for your child.
