Edwards Funeral Service, Hughes-Allen Chapel, Marion OH

They did our service for my sister Monday. I was NOT impressed with the directors. There was no one to greet guests, no one to act like they cared. They hid out in a room and acted like they couldn't wait for this to be over. I would not recommend them.

Jeff and Kelly were so helpful and caring during my son’s funeral in June that we went ahead and prepaid our own funerals with Edwards. I approached Jeff in 2018 to transfer my sons preneed from another funeral home here in Marion that was not being helpful or willing to guarantee that everything was on the contract that was needed. Jeff worked with me to transfer the preneed and policies away from the other funeral home and then shared copies of everything with me and went over it line by line with me, he even guaranteed that I wouldn’t have to pay anything additional. When our son passed away in June and we met with Jeff and Kelly again, they kept their word and didn’t charge us anything more. Jeff even recommended using there dining and reception facility after the funeral for our family meal and then helped us with the catering details. These days it’s hard to find people that are good for their word, but they did! Gary Lyons did a great job preaching the service and we feel like these folks are like our family.

We lost my grandson 21 yr old and this funeral home did have Preston looking like himself.
However the guest book was removed before all could sign
The donation box was not accessible to all that came and the room was FULL
The funeral person Kelly stood inside room with bag in hand and tapping her foot as though she was in a rush to get us out!
Very disappointed with their amount of empathy for parents and grandparents and their ability to make this a comforting situation seemed to be NO ability to comfort the immediate family!
Extremely disappointing to myself and other guests and family.
Do not recommend this funeral home at all!

The staff was very helpful with helping our family out.my mother looked absolutely beautiful. Gary lyons you are so wonderful I cant Express how grateful I am. Kellie I give you a big hug you and the hair dresser my momma looked fabulous. God bless you all. ANd her last ride was neat.

Attended a funeral for a good friend of mine recently. Big mix of emotions walking up to his casket but when I get up there everything just went to confusion. I was looking at a complete stranger in his casket. Had it not been for his tattoos, I'd have never believed it was really him. This funeral home showed complete incompetence with the preparation of my dear friend. I wish there was more I could do to spite this funeral "service" but this review will have to do. Do not sent your loved ones to these ridiculous people. You wont have any closure looking at strangers.
