El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant reviews
14El Vaquero has become drastically overpriced. Fajitas are over $20, my meal was $19.50, very good but pricey. My first margarita was good but the second one was 90% ice. That is not good business. The server was not great as well. The fajitas come with sour cream but not enough for three fajitas. We asked for a little bit more and ended up paying for a side of sour cream. That is on the server. And his tip reflected it. That's how it goes.
Reserved a room for a large group. Management was not prepared. Very rude. Told us to go back to the room when asking for drinks. Waited over an hour for drinks. Complete cluster of a mess
Jumbo Margaritas are huge, staff is very friendly and always play/joke with the kids although they are somewhat forgetful. The Molcajete Ranchero is my favorite find as I used to get the fajitas regularly. It's even better reheated later in the week at home.
Delightful atmosphere that provides family friendly dining, indoor and outdoor, and a hightop bar option for adults. The entire staff is attentive and accommodating. The food is appropriately priced for the quality, which is great for the cuisine style, and pairs quite well with a tequila inspired drink. Take out is a great option for this location.
The consommé is tasty but they give very little and the tacos are very tasty, the mole poblano is super delicious, don't change the recipe, the flavor and quality surpass many in Dallas and forth worth
If I could give negative stars I would this place is so unprofessional and rude the manager/owner is rude to customers there’s fruit flys flying around servers are rude to you it’s crazy how rude and how bad they rush you like it’ll you don’t want my Money I’ll go somewhere else and that’s what I do now Columbus health department needs to do a surprise visit
Their complimentary chips and salsa is delicious. You look forward to it every visit. The Enchiladas Cazerola is amazing, especially the sauce and scallio
First time trying food from here. My sister took me here for my birthday dinner and we enjoyed it very much. Place was clean and lively and most importantly-the food was delicious. We’ll definitely be back and recommend this place for some delicious Mexican food.
Great atmosphere, they know how to do a rich Hispanic experience, from surrounding, to the quality of your meal. They truly did a wonderful job delivering. Thank you guys for a wonderful experience!
I couldn’t find just a tostada on the menu. That turned out to be a good thing because I had to order it as a combination with an enchilada. It was a wonderful enchilada served with delish beans and rice. As it turned out the tostada was just meh. Its tortilla was too hard to cut, the tomatoes weren’t chopped and served with it, but sliced and served on the side. Disappointing. But the Margarita was good. It had just the right flavor, but not too strong. That’s good because it’s huge! In fact, the dinner serving, too, are quite generous.
When I used the restroom, they were out of paper towels. Most establishments want these shortcomings brought to their attention. When I told one of the staff, she said OK, but never did anything about it. With a few adjustments, this place could be worth going back to.
Food was okay. Honestly not worth what we paid I felt. Ordered a margarita, could not taste any alcohol in it. Restaurant was not very busy, so that usually attests to quality.
Food has changed not as good as when first open service was good I just wouldn't recommend it to be your first choice sorry
Nice location with friendly staff. I usually get the taco salads that come with the fired shell…super tasty. I love their nachos and tacos too. Margaritas are great and the bar is large and well equipped. Nice large patio with outside bar for use during nice weather. Prices have gone up but still my go to for Mexican-American food.
