El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant, Columbus OH

Ordered 5 dinners tonight through DoorDash and got 1 stinking bag of "complimentary" chips and no salsa! Jesus the Manager on duty tonight likes to pass the buck and blame a 3rd party food delivery service for the mishap lol. Jesus, who puts the food in the bag? YOU DO!
If you all order through a 3rd party delivery make sure you don't forget to ask for you extra chips and salsa and be sure to specify the quantity. 5 dinners, 5 bags of chips and five ramikins of salsa.
Shame on you Jesus the manager! I recommend more tortillas! More Salsa!

Food is good! Drinks are good too. The amount of camarones in those meals was a bit on the light side, but the flavor was solid. A good Mexican place considering its in Ohio! U take what u can get when are craving authentic.

Excellent menu with a lot of variety to choose from. Seated immediately. Drinks and chips were brought quickly. Clean dining area and restrooms. Polite, attentive wait staff.

Food was good but we had a very large party so we had things messed up but it's understandable. The wait staff was very pleasant and patient with us.

This place is always amazing. We’ve been going for years and it just keeps getting better. The staff makes us feel like family, the food is consistently great, and you can’t beat the margaritas! We love how kid friendly it is too, all the staff are always so kind to our kids and make it easy to have a family meal out!

I came to eat for the second time but it's Friday and happy hour. They forgot about us they brought us the drinks, 40min passed and it was time to leave because they never came back to ask what we wanted. A lot of people and everything super noisy, apparently the staff was overwhelmed. Improve that because that way it doesn't cause me to return.

This is the best place to get authentic quick Mexican! It's been my go-to Mexican restaurant ever since I tried it first. Great service, great food. Must have the chips and queso!

They have become expensive. Every item is 3 to 5 dollars higher. We had 2 for lunch, and it was almost 40 bucks with tip.

It has been years since we have visited this location and the remodeling was very well done. The open air dining was really nice on a warm spring evening. The food was good if a bit pricey. You do get what you pay for though I suppose.

Outstanding service. 5 out of 5 stars. We were seated, given our drinks, chips, and queso dip literally in less than 3 minutes. The server did a wonderful job and our food was hot and delicious. I wouldn't have remembered, but I had left my jacket at my table. While I was getting into my car the server assistant ran out to find me to give me my jacket back! Good peeps, thank you El Vaquero!

Food is good. The beans can be a little salty at times, mix the beans with the rice and it isn't salty at all. They have celebration there from time to time. TVs display sporting events. Catch them on the right day and you might welcome the music of a Mariachi band.

I highly recommend! It was packed but I was seated immediately. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The food was also great. My only complaint is that the corn tortillas were too soggy and broke apart in my hands. I could’ve asked for additional but it wasn’t necessary. Overall great place!

Listen, if you want some delicious Mexican food... Get in your vehicle and get here (while maintaining all the traffic laws) as fast as possible!
I get the Burro Grande (#144) every visit and it is amazing! Queso on top of a burrito, are you kidding me! I’m drooling as I’m typing!
