7I attended a 50th anniversary party there. It was a nice party. However the ladies room bathroom were a tad bit sparse.
Sylvania firefighters had their annual pancake breakfast at the Elks Lodge. Very nice building. Even better breakfast
Lots of room and comfortable. Very well maintained. Caution if you rent the place. The individual managing the facility is challenging to work with! Decorating will suddenly be cut short and contradicts the rental contract.
Although the bartenders were fantastic this is a terrible place for a wedding. Will never book again for anything.
Terrible venue for wedding. It was agreed upon to decorate the night before, but 6 tables and the buffet area were unavailable to decorate. The coordinator was pleasant to work with at first, but on the day of the wedding was an absolute pain to deal with. A guest sustained an injury and had an unopened water bottle outdoors and he was yelled at for violating their liquor license. According to the contract we had the reception rooms until 10: 00, with last call at 9: 40, and it was agreed all guests off the property by 11: 00. The coordinator violated the contract and had the DJ announce last call at approx 9: 15. She started ushering guests out at 9: 30 and going around and taking drinks from guests hands. I was so done with this place I told Betty to give the deposit to their bartender as a tip so I would never have to speak to her again. I would not recommend this place to anyone under any circumstance.
Really friendly people. My husband had been going for over a year, and it is a social place.
