Englewood Villas and Residences

This ridiculous place told us they won't even show us an apartment unless we fill out an application and pay a $35 application fee. It has to be some kind of scam. I absolutely will NOT pay just to see an apartment. They've lost their minds.

I would not recommend these apartments to anyone. The only good employee is the groundskeeper. The rest of the staff is hardly in the office, never answers the phone, and they do not repair anything. I was promised a fully refurbished apartment, but a lot of things were broken or disfunctional from the day my family moved in. The airconditioner has never worked, the dishwasher was broken, doors were falling off, the water heater works for about 5 minutes, the mailboxes have been broken into, all the sinks were leaking, there are big potholes in the parking lot, my apartment was infected with random bugs, and the stove has no vent leading outside. When we moved in, they raised the price just before signing the lease and their welcome gift was a $1 bottle of Pine Sole. The floors were also very dirty. Every time we requested any repairs, they would send someone to look at it and claim it was fixed. The only way we got anything fixed was to threaten legal action, and they still haven't fixed everything. Lastly, someone has frequently been setting fire to the dumpsters and large pieces of trash surrounding the apartments. I do not feel safe in these apartments. The neighborhood is beautiful and theses apartments are the ugly stain of the area
