My wife and I tested positive for covid19 and literally 2 days later the furnace quit coming into the coldest weekend of the year. I called Evans and explained the situation and they did not shutter. They came out straight away and found the board in my furnace was bad. After replacing the board they also fixed the improper install from 2007 when it was new. Evans will be my go to for all our future HVAC needs.

They installed my furnace and air in 2005 and have maintained/serviced since then. This is a reliable family owned company. They are professional, prompt, and go out of their way to give the best service available. Support local!

Called them twice, on 2 different days during business hours the other week, and both calls went to voicemail. I left a message with each call and I never got a return call.

Hired Don to install a new Trane whole house AC after going thru the grief of getting bids from the other prominent HVAC companies. Don had his people on my job on time and they did great work. After that experience I hired him to put in a new water heater and again they did great work. Great people who do great work at reasonable prices!

I’ve called Evans three times over the last 10 days in an attempt to purchase a new Trane AC unit. I’ve left messages and gotten absolutely nothing in return. Completely frustrated. Called Trane dealers in Lancaster and Zanesville and both called me back immediately. Really wanted to do business with someone in Newark since I work there, but shouldn’t have to beg a business to take my money.

Don Evans came out himself to repair my unit because he said they were so busy I wouldn't have had service to day. Have to respect a guy like that. Nice man. Took about 20 minutes to repair, reasonably priced too. If I need anymore A. C.or heating service these are the people I will be calling.

Worst company ever. My AC went out a few weeks back so I had them come look at it. Told me it was the fan motor bad and it was a special order part that takes a week to get. So we said ok order it and it's been 2 weeks and everytime my wife calls they tell her they'll call her back with an install ETA but have yet to do so. Now it's been 3 weeks of no ac and still no response from them

The worst customer service I've experienced in awhile. Tech showed up to my home unprepared to do his job, told me he'd be back the next week. I changed my schedule to accommodate this, then got a call that they had over scheduled and couldn't come for 2 more days! Absolutely ridiculous! Ended up cancelling and going with another company.

I cannot say enough about the professionalism that was exhibited with Don and his staff. It's hard to find an honest technician/owner in this field, but Don and his 40 years expierence was like a breath of fresh air. After a competitor quoted me a $1000 repair Don fixed it for $83. Thank you Don!

A part in my furnace caught on fire. It stopped working. I called several places to come fix it. Evans heating and cooling were the cheapest, so I thought, great this is good for me. I don't have much money, being it was right before Christmas. So Evans heating and cooling sent a technician out the very next day. I paid $60 to have the man say that the previous people who "fixed" it, had broken it. He said he did not know how to fix it, and made us pay him the $60. He said if we paid him to install a completely NEW furnace/ac system he would take the $60 off of that installation price. My boyfriend, who mind you has NO HVAC training whatsoever came to look at it because I was desperate, and out of options, and unable to afford a new furnace. He put a new thermostat on and voila.its freaking fixed! This business felt like a scam to me, i have no earthly idea how all these people say they were so great. I got screwed out of my money by a "HVAC certified technician" that had no clue what he was doing, that or they just were trying to get gullible me to pay them to install a whole new furnace. Ridiculous.

I had such a great expereince with this company. I called them in the morning and they were at my house by noon. The lady that answered was so comforting. I have two very little ones and they were so hot and miserable and she helped me stay calm and got a tech out. Thank you so much for all of your help I will recomend you to anyone that needs help.

We trusted Evan's Heating to help us with our heat pump in a professional manner. We contacted them on January 5 because our heat pump started an error code and was not working properly. Evan's instructed us to put our system on emergency heat. It took them a week to get out to our house. When they came out, that evening the error code came back on after they "fixed" it. We called them again and they said to once again put our heat pump on emergency heat. We went through this back and forth process with Evan's until February 21. This whole time the customer service was awful. Our phone calls were not returned and the owner was not respectful on the phone or helpful. Also during this month and half process we asked the techs 3 different times if having our system on emergency heat was going to effect our electric bill and they said no. Again, trusting them as professionals we believed them. We received our electric bill for the month and it was $750! We called Evan's back and they would not help us! They cost us $750 and never fixed our heat pump. We just had a well know company come out today and they fixed our heat pump right away. It was the filter! I cannot believe that Evan's put us through all of that for a filter.

Evans replaced my very old furnace and air conditioner last November. I waited to write my review because I wanted to get into the heat of the summer to see how both the ac and furnace performed.
You will not regret going with Evans. First of all, Derek (3rd generation family craftsman) and Jim installed my unit and all new ductwork trunk lines in the basement with great care and attention to detail. (These guys will *NOT* leave you with a unit that was slapped in fast and sloppy just so they could rush to the next person to send a bill to.) They really do care about the quality of their work.
Secondly, I think you will have a hard time finding another contractor that will beat them on the value of their quote. I believe in doing something right if you are going to do it at all. I did receive other quotes that were less expensive, but they were for units of much lesser quality. Don (2nd generation owner) gave me a great price on a high quality very efficient Trane furnace and air conditioner.
Bottom line. This is a third generation family run company that has a personal connection to the work they do, and they are still proud to put their name on it. They are an easy pick over some big outfit where the installer is just there to get a paycheck.

I recently called on Evans Heating and Cooling to fix our AC unit that died over the Labor Day weekend (great timing). The technician they sent was awesome. He went right to work and was in and out in a little more than an hour. Very pleased with the results and the price. I'll definitely reach out to them in the future for my heating and cooling needs.

I had to have my furnace and hot water tank replaced due to a flood in my basement, I called 3 contractors to come out and give me an estimate to replace them, Evans heating and cooling got the job and here is why. So they send the owner of the company out and he gave me the run down on what needed to be done and i bombard him with questions, some I already knew the answers to but wanted to see how he responded, in which he did very well and was honest. The furnace I selected was one of their top models and the price was $300 cheaper than the local competitors, who offered me the basic model. So choosing Evans was a no brainer. On the day of the install, the company sends out Butch and Derek with well over a decade of experience in furnace installs. These guys were super friendly and explained everything to me as they were doing it. The sheet metal work on the plenum is without a doubt a work of art. I am very picky on how things look when it comes to installs and these techs read my mind and did an outstanding job and left no mess in my basement. I am so pleased with the work I had to post a review.

I would like to say that I am very pleased with the service I received on my service call for my furnace from Evans Heating. My Technician's name was Thad. He was very professional, and very courteous, he targeted the bad part, replaced it, and it worked fine. I would Highly recommend Evans Heating.

Untimely, and hard to get ahold of was told id receive n estimate on monday got it the following thursday. Then was told that friday hed be in contact with me on monday today is now Thursday without any word from Don Evans. Now im hes wasted two weeks of my time and still have no air conditioning. Never trust a man with a limp handshake.
