Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Sandusky

The place was nice but we had to ask for more than 3 towels when we book for 5. Oh and the toilet was not attached to the floor!

Rooms were nice and clean. Staff was very Friendly. Breakfast was good. Nice and quiet so I could relax. Close to everything you could need.

Came in at midnight, checked in on the app. The front desk lady had keys set aside for me.great.went up to the room and they did not work, it happens. Back downstairs to get it fixed and it took a manager and the associate over 20 minutes fiddling with the computer to finally just have the associate use the master key to get us in the room. Once in the room we were hit with an overwhelming smell of mold/mildew. Clearly coming from the AC. There was black mold all over the curtains (you can see it in the pictures). We were only crashing for five hours after a day at Cedar Point and after the train wreck that was check in i didn't have the energy to try to get a different room. Brought it up with associate at the desk in the AM, who was nice about it and understanding, was offered 2000 bonvoy points as a consolation.thanks? Save your money, go somewhere else. I travel a lot for work and this is one of the lowest, bottom of the barrel Marriott properties I have been to. Thankfully it was paid for in points so i wasn't out in actual money.

Great stay from the minute we arrived. The front desk staff walked us through a handful of tips for visiting cedar point and those tips turned out to be very helpful. Thank you to everyone at Fairfield for a great stay!

The room had an odd smell and after a couple hours the family started complaining of a sore throat. I looked over at the HVAC unit and noticed black spots on the curtain (see photos). Looking at the HVAC unit, there was black mold growing from around the unit and on the unit itself. It is impossible that none of the hotel employees would be unaware of the black mold and apparently must not care about cleanliness or the health of their guests. The front desk did their best to personally prepare/clean another room for my family to move to which was appreciated. However, the bathroom sink stop was stuck down in that room and required me to find a tool to remove it so that water would drain. The hotel pool is also disgusting and is in dire need of a scrub. I would not recommend getting in the pool.

Unfortunately we didnt make it through our first night because of a family emergency, but the check in/check out was easy and Alyssa & Michelle were awesome! Thank you also for recognizing our Anniversary with a card and some snacks, something no other hotel has ever done for us! Our room was very clean and smelled great. Plenty of towels and bed was comfy. Looking forward to making a return visit.

Great place to stay! Clean rooms, good breakfast and Kristy provided great customer service. Family oriented and definitely would recommend.

We ended up at this hotel because we found bed bugs at our original hotel at 11pm and this was the only one with good reviews that still had rooms left. Nathan at the front desk was wonderful. He was very kind and empathetic, as well as energetic for it being after midnight. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. Since it was so late we didn’t get to use most amenities like the pool so I can’t speak on that. The breakfast was good, but very crowded. Staff had trouble keeping up with refilling the stations due to so many people. The price was high, but it was worth it to have a clean, comfortable place to stay with no bed bugs. We would stay here again.

The location is great. Rooms are clean. It was quiet, despite being busy. Because it was so busy the breakfast buffet staff had a hard time keeping up.

Great experience and staff members. Also my favorite hotel to stay at when I'm in town. Will definitely will be booking back next year for the next convention I'll be going to.

Wonderful. The only word that is needed. I believe the manager was extra good. The staff was very friendly. We've stayed @ many hotels in Sandusky, Ohio but this one keeps me coming back again & again. Thanks.

It was great! We stayed in a suite because it was me and 4 kids staying to go to Cedar Point. The suite had two beds and a fold out couch that I slept on. Anything we needed was gladly provided by the excellent staff. The pool was great for winding down after a long day and helped the kiddos get to sleep quicker! We will stay here again.

The staff is beyond kind and accommodating. The pool is nice good temp just wish they had a hot tub. The rooms are nice & clean.

This hotel was very nice they are very respectful they are up to standards I will recommend this hotel to all my friends when near by
