Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Dayton South reviews
14We check in Sunday October 29toThursday November3rd Ricky check us in also we had a very clean room from Tina. Denita was very nice when we came from lunch telling us about the chop house. Dee dee kept the breakfast area tight the Manger had a great team of Jewels. Keep up the great work. This stay was so worth it.
THE STAFF WAS TOP NOTCH! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY! FROM THE FRONT DESK STAFF TO THE HOUSE KEEPING STAFF. A GREAT JOB ALL-AROUND!
A but more expensive than we often do, and a bit off the highway we were traveling, but this place was nice and clean and in good working order. Better than most places. Nice setting; you could enjoy taking a neighborhood walk here.
One surprise at breakfast: the scrambled eggs were free range eggs. It was a bit upscale, but also without the waffles that are so common these days.
Nice clean rooms. The temperature was warm even though it said “60”. Comfortable beds. Good morning breakfast
Staff was friendly. Breakfasts were exceptional. Centrally located for many side trips we made and shopping and plentiful eateries abound.
The hotel was clean, and the amenities were many. The staff was friendly and responsive to our needs. The pool area was clean, and the breakfast area was kept clean as well.
This is the hotel I've been using for the last several visits to Dayton and it gets sadder with each visit. Rooms get worse, A/C units so loud have trouble sleeping, staff is pleasant enough, nothing looked good for their free breakfast, rooms are overpriced for what you get. I also noticed that now on top of the agreed upon booked price they hit you up for a $3 per day parking fee. What the heck is this? Absolute garbage. Never staying here again.
The staff at this hotel may be the friendliest I have ever encountered. And it needn't be solicited - they just seemed happy to be pleasant and interested in us enjoying the stay. And someone is leaving motivational messages everywhere (including on the bananas at breakfast). The room and the breakfast were average - clean and adequate. The value was positive. Location is good (we were tourists) - easy access to restaurants and tourist sites.
Really good hotel to stay.
Pros:
1. They have complementary breakfast buffet.
2. They have a pool which is very good. There are a swimming pool and small hot pool.
3. The room was clean, spacious and featured with all the amenities like microwave, refrigerator, coffee.
Cons:
1. A little bit pricey.
2. The elevators are a little bit old and make a lot of noises.
Room smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Staff was very friendly. Disappointed by Marriott that one of properties is in this condition. Ice machine only one lower level. One and done in this location.
Really liked the hotel. Wish they had a better selection for breakfast but otherwise I was deeply impressed.
Needed a place to stay in short notice due to daughter in the hospital. Always try to choose a Marriott experience!
Excellent place to stay. Rooms were very clean and definitely did NOT have that "hotel smell".
Atmosphere very pleasant and quiet.
A great night's rest!
This was by far my most disappointing experience at a Marriott property in my life. Nothing wrong with the hotel itself as I’ve stayed here many times. I was put in a dangerous safety situation. I was initially assigned room 319 and at 1130 pm while in bed, someone was using their key to get into my room. Luckily it was dead bolted so they did not come in. I called the front desk and was told that I was given the wrong room at check in. Even though my card key holder said otherwise. The desk clerk said they did not have the room I was in as occupied in the system. I was placed in the wrong room. Then my hotel invoice wasn’t reflecting the room I actually stayed in. Hopefully there wasn’t damage in 318 as stated on my invoice. It seemed like the hotel wasn’t really concerned about the mistake but most importantly, their neglect made me really uncomfortable in my room as some random people were given access to my room. It could have been a bad situation if they entered the room while I was sleeping. The apologies we’re non existent. Platinum Lifetime Member or not, total disappointment and extremely unnecessary.
