Farnsworth Metropark reviews
15View of Maumee River makes this a delightful park. I think it's the best of the Metroparks for walking and bike riding. Long and narrow, this park hugs the river for two miles, then extends all the way to Grand Rapids, Ohio, via the old Erie Canal trail. Watch for poison ivy! It's abundant everywhere, including both sides of the trail. Camping now permitted, but use the camp sites for your picnic if not rented.
This park is beautiful and well maintained. The walking and bike paths are very nice. You can go 10 miles on it, between Waterville and Grand Rapids. Amazing views of the river. I've seen Bald Eagles many times in the area.
This past weekend, me and my family camped at the Farnsworth group site. The experience was great. The staff was very helpful and friendly, from the person who took my reservation to the bright eyed young people who rented me and my wife our kayak. The park was clean, including the restrooms, we will be returning very soon. Affordable relaxing weekend.
Super metro park very clean, boat launch & kayak rental. It’s in the 10 in this area for sure.
All the metro parks along the river are very nice. Nice for visiting, walking, running, biking, kayaking, etc.
Very nice park and trail along river, part of the Metro parks among the best I have ever been to.
Such a nice park to visit! Didn't really spend much time at the playground but, we walked the trails for about 2 hours. Can't wait to come back again.
Grandson (4 year old) had a great time running and playing. Was very tired out by the time we left. Great place for him to use up energy.
No doubt District Toledo Metro-parks has the best parks in the US. Fransworth is among those beautiful places and worth visiting giving picturesque views all year round
Always a good time whether you're walking the trails or riding a bicycle dropping a boat in at the boat docks. Camping is also available and there is a playground for kids.
Great place to walk along our run along the river on the Towpath trail back from canal days.
The campsites by the river look amazing. Bathrooms, water fountains, and firewood for sale on site. Camp site has movable picnic table, shelter, grill, fire pit, and cooking fire pit in the shelter. Benches line the shelter. Great trail runs by the sites.
What a great little park located in Waterville, OH. With scenic riverfront views just about everywhere, you can’t pick a bad spot to enjoy the park.
Parking was a breeze with plenty of open spots. Mind you it was sunset timing and on a weekday.
Exploring the historic Interurban Bridge is a must.
Picnic in the shelter overlooking the river was quiet, private, and relaxing. Looking forward to another visit with firewood and marshmallows.
Northwest Ohio has some beautiful parks. Farnsworth is all along the Maumee River and is as pretty as it gets. Also, just outside of the cute little town of Waterville.
