Firehouse Subs Englewood Gateway Center

I visited this location on 12-31-23. Now I had not been here for about a year or so because the sandwiches were nit all that great. But today I wanted to give it another shot. I ordered the hooks and ladder I think it was called with ham and turkey. I asked for an extra pickle as well. I waited a out 8-9 minutes as they were making another lady's sandwich that was ahead of me. Employees seemed nice and thanked me and I want to say the manager said Happy New Year and I said the same. My spending of 8 plus dollars for their version of a medium sub, no way not for what you get. I know things have gone up but it seems when the prices went up the quantity and quality went down. I won't pay that much for something like this, I could of went to Subway and got more meat and toppings. It's just another reminder that I can see those businesses that will end up closing. I tried again but I see why it was a year since I had purchased their sandwich.

Worst customer service ever. Actually appalling. They told me to leave while I was eating my deli meat sandwich (that was very expensive) because I had ordered it to go? I felt like I was being punked but the dude was being serious.

While enjoying a sandwich with my coworker on our lunch break, an employee approached us and told us we had to leave because we had ordered the food to go. He said it was going to cost them labor expenses (WIPING OFF ONE TABLE). We felt completely disrespected by his tone and were very caught off guard. I have never been asked to leave an establishment mid-bite. We paid $35 for two sandwiches and were asked to take our food outside. Furthermore, it was slow and the vibe of the restaurant felt like a morgue. I will never go back here again and make sure my coworkers don’t either. As someone who is a part of a business just moving to the area, it was very discouraging to see the lack of hospitality at this location.

Normally pleased but this visit left me questioning their training/implementation of sanitary practices. I walked in and the employee behind the sandwich assembly area is openly chewing her fingernail. The employee who rang me up had very unkempt hair and an old fraying bandage on his finger that looked like it could easily fall off, and he was the one eventually bagging and handing me the sandwich. I did not pay attention but I assume he put gloves on after ringing me up (as I saw another employee properly put on gloves). Regardless, the unsanitary experience grossed me out and I threw the sandwich away when I got home. I could not eat it after seeing that.

Visited this location today for lunch. Waited 8 minutes in line before my order was taken. Then, after waiting 25 minutes for food, found out my order was given to someone else (we never heard anyone call my name). The employees apologized and then made my food again. I finally received my food 35 minutes after the time on my receipt. At least my food was hot and delicious (only reason for 2 stars).

The employees looked a bit lost as they were filling multiple online orders, a large catering order, and a lobby full of guests. Only 2 employees were making food, 1 other was wandering around mostly, and at least another was out of view doing who knows what. The lack of priorities during lunch rush is alarming. I love their food but I cant justify the lack of speed of service.

Lots of people complaining here but I feel that some of these people are training. Service was friendly but a bit slow. Again, I think it's because they are training. Overall I'd try, again.

Drove to the restaurant on my lunch break. Walked in, the bev machine was out of carbonation. No biggie. Stood in line behind a few folks while they ordered. Got to the counter and the fella told me he wouldn’t be able to take our order because they had an online order for 15 sandwiches due in 2 minutes and hadn’t even started it. Could have at least taken our order and worked it in. Had to leave due to time.

Order for pickup was supposed to be ready at 4: 00pm. Got my order and out the door about 4: 40. They said the meatballs for my pizza pepperoni meatball sub was not ready. However, they probably were, because when I got home the meatballs were dry, tough, and one was crunchy. My wife’s Italian sub had been cooked until dry, had very little ham, and she suspects the Italian dressing was actually mustard. This location was not busy at all (I suspect I know why) and had at least 4 people working. We won’t be back, as I get better subs from Cassano’s. Would not recommend wasting any time or money at this location. But they did give me a free soda for my troubles.

This location is by far the slowest location I've ever been to. I waited 24 min for my sub with 1 person in front of me. It is ridiculous.

Tried to take out. Person on register didn’t know how to take an order. Kept asking for help, couldn’t modify anything. Floor behind counter was filthy. Great 1 st visit, there won’t be a 2 nd

So I walked in and a girl was going on break. The other girl rolled her eyes and ask with a attitude what I wanted. So I asked what's wrong.she rolled her eyes again I'm not eating there. They always have a attitude. Not worth the thought of them tainting the food. Gross. 3times now. Just now reporting this.

I was told $48.92 for order and my bank statement was 3¢ off last month. Ordered again and $48.92 on first transaction and then another unauthorized 3¢ charge was taken out same day later. Who is the crook grub hub or firehouse subs Englewood?
