Fireside Cafe, Liberty Township OH

Terrible experience at this restaurant. They deserve 0 stars. Server took our order and brought us drinks. My family and I ordered eggs, bacon, and pancakes. We waited for 35 minutes when I noticed customers who were seated after us started receiving their food. I talked to the server and was told our food should be out in another 5 minutes. 10 minutes later, 2 more tables that were seated after us got their orders. We decided to leave. I will never return to this restaurant.

The food is really excellent, but I can’t say the same for the customer service and waiters, they kept us waiting and acted shamelessly, as if they weren’t happy with us being there.

Would give ALL zeros if I could! Just moved to the area, excited to try new restaurants. Came to Fireside Cafe on a Sunday at 3pm. Wasn't busy at all, only 2 other tables with guests. A young man sat us and said someone would be right over. We looked over the menu and made our decisions. No one came! We sat patiently for about 10 minutes, no one came! We counted a staff of 6 who were all sitting at the bar on their phones, several of which made eye contact with us, but still NO ONE CAME! After sitting for a total of 15 minutes, we got up and walked out. Not 1 of the 6 staff members acknowledged us as we walked out. My family and I will NEVER step foot back into this restaurant. Nice menu selection. Everything sounded good. Had trouble deciding what to order. Will have to go back many times to try everything. Service was good and quick. Food came out in a timely manner. Give this place a try, you won't be sorry.

We were there after normal breakfast time but before lunch. Shredded hash browns had no taste like they say on the fryer all morning.
Biscuits and gravy was pretty small portion.
Omelet was okay, Coffee could be better.
Waitress was nice and definitely checked on us often. Might try later. The atmosphere was unique.

Server was excellent but service was very poor. It took about 30 minutes
to get our food. Some of the food was cold, bacon and goetta were both burnt, eggs Benedict’s hollandaise sauce was thick and for some odd reason sweet, the eggs for the eggs Benedict were hard poached instead of soft poached and finally the sausage gravy had little to no sausage and very bland. Hash browns were good and pancakes were fluffy and good. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment for breakfast.

Took 45 minutes for my food to be brought to me at lunchtime today. I had to have the food packed to go so I could drive back to my office to get back before my lunchtime was up. There was a party of 12 that had just been sat/ordering when I came in, but no one told me that there would be a long delay in sending out my food. About 20 minutes after ordering, the server said the food should be out "soon. " There was another woman who had been sat directly before me who received and ate their food before mine was delivered. I asked why that happened and I was told that because she ordered the same thing as one of the 12 top, they just doubled up the order. This was extremely poor customer service and there was no attempt to make it right was made.

BUYER BEWARE! I would rate this place a 0 if allowed. I ordered the salmon hash which I’ve ordered numerous times before. It was overcooked and salty. My husbands pancakes were burnt, the kids Micky Mouse pancakes were hardly recognizable. We waited an hour for this terrible food! The manager stated that she knew the food quality was poor. They attributed the long wait to a “Turkish” kitchen Staff! They comped $20 when the entire meal should have been free! We will never return to this place. Save your time and money! Don’t eat here!

Don't understand how this place could get a negative review. Great food, amazing service, reasonable prices, and HUGE servings. Breakfast, lunch, dinner all very good and the staff is super friendly. My family's new go to spot as my daughter loves the food as well and she is a picky eater.

Changing my review from all 5 stars to this - place is half empty and we were just indifferently told 30 minute wait (8/13/23). I’m sure they would say ‘it’s covid’ but that excuse stops flying come mid-2023. Likely this and a prior sub-par experience are signs of a downslide - most places can keep high quality up for only so long and they had a good run.

While shopping in the area, we stopped in for lunch at Fireside. We're not from the area so we wanted something other than a chain restaurant. We were seated and ordered the Monte Cristo and Cuban which both were really good and generous portions. However, the service was really lacking. Our waitress took our order but we didn't see her again until she brought the check. Another waiter brought our food from the kitchen and I had to go to the bar to request drink refills since no one came to our table. The table next to us got up and left after about 15 minutes because no one came to take their order.

Came in with my family for lunch today 7/29/23. Our server was great, We ordered the mussels and soup for apps and they were both good. I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap and when it came out it was a warm wrap with hot wilted lettuce and cooked on the grill. I had wanted a cold chicken Caesar wrap and the menu did not say it was a warm wrap. The server tried to get it taken off my bill but the manager Lorenzo told him no, there was nothing wrong with it and it was my fault. Maybe they should specify what items are hot and what items are cold. Will not be back unfortunately.

So, we sat for a minute before someone greeted us after being initially sat at a table. The food is pretty good. The service was just slightly slow. Overall, We'd vome back.

I wanted to place a carry out order. I ordered per their website pricing. When I called to place the order I was told that the web pricing hadn’t been updated and my food would have cost me approximately $10.00 more. What a ripoff! Needless to say, I will never eat at this restaurant in the future!

Service is so-so sometimes when it comes to a good host but the waitresses are great and the food is delicious! I think a good host would make this all five stars.

Got carryout for my moms 88 birthday. Omelet had very little filling and I ordered a pizza that was awful and ricotta pancakes that looked like a mess. They use Styrofoam containers. No forks or spoons. Done with this place!

Definitely quality good and good service. Large portions. Food tends to be just a little bland and would be five stars with a smidge more flavor.

I have stopped here in the morning after work several times. Great selection of food which is great, and the service is perfect.
