Fisherman's Wharf reviews
16A location with fishing boats (head boats for half-day trips most prominent), tackle for Lake Erie fishing, and bait. I went on a half-day walleye trip where the crew worked hard and most customers caught fish (I caught 2 keeper walleye). For a person making their first Lake Erie trip there could be more guidance on tackle to bring, although bait was provided. One of the boats on their web page was actually located 40 miles away, which may be self-evident to locals but could be clearer for out-of-towners.
Went fishing on Irish Drifter. First mate very helpful with helping me set up walleye rigging and how to hang worm on halter.
Ricky and Sam on the MISS CINDY were on point. Made our first fishing experience want us to book more. We laughed, we caught.
Busy shop so you may have to wait for assistance. Huge selection of fishing gear and baoting items as well.
This is THE place to go if you're looking for a headboat in Port Clinton. The store has a good selection and knowledgable employees. They carry nightcrawlers, minnows, etc.
Great staff and very knowledgeable, prices are unbelievable, highly recommend for all your lake Erie fishing needs
Went out on charter took over a hour to get to spot to was there 15 mins then anchor breaks another hour back then didn't want to give refund said can give pass for later told them wanted refund was told fine your name going on list never come back very rude bad way to do business was not my fault 3 hours later not much fishing and back to the dock!
We had a group of 5 and we had a great time. Everyone one was very helpful. I will do this again for sure.
These guys are great in more ways than one. They have 3 boats and the Irish Drifter is capable of getting wheelchair users on board. They find fish quickly but they can't always make them bite. That's why it's called fishing and not catching. They're always helping those who are learning how to fish for Yellow Perch and how to know when you're getting bites.
Been twice, limited both times.friendly, knowledgeable, willing to go the extra mile.
Highly recommend.
Greatest place to fish out of on the Western Basin of Lake Erie. Some of the best fisherman I know.
Great place to go they have a verity of fresh and salt water fish, they also have a verity of smoked fish pricing fare
First fishing charter I've ever been on. The captain and first mate were very professional. They gave us every opportunity to catch Walleye and moved around when the fish weren't hitting. I'll come back next year! Great job guys.
More bathroom s please.but if you fish here they do everything they can to get all the fish
Went out yesterday for father's day with my father, my brother and fiance. We didn't catch anything other than sheephead, but that's okay. My main complaint is that there was music playing that some people would find extremely offensive playing very loudly during the entire trip. The captain said nothing so I'm assuming it's okay for anyone to bring speakers and play whatever they want as loud as they want. Anyways ruined father's day for my dad and I'm assuming over half the boat. My dad called to complain and was met with an offensive person on the phone.so I guess we will take our business elsewhere.
Staff is great. Very knowledgeable about the local water and conditions. Whether you are looking to here fishing stories, buy gear or go on one of their head boats, this is a great place for anyone that likes to fish.
