Foot and Ankle Physicians of Ohio reviews
16 Wow! I wish I would’ve read the negative reviews instead of the positive reviews when I decided to come here because I had a very similar experience. TALK ABOUT TRAUMATIZING. I’m still in shock. My toe was hurting and I assumed an ingrown toe nail so I made an appointment. Dr. Hewitt looked at it and in one second she said yup! We have to remove that. Said it was a “quick procedure” and that it would only take a total of 30 minutes.
Issue #1: She didn’t entirely explain the procedure and I assumed just the top right corner of my nail would be removed and it would grow back normally. I am in shock, disgust and disbelief at what my toenail looks like now. And literally cry every time I see it because I truly cannot believe it will be like this for the rest of my life. I did not know that half of my toenail would be removed and the skin would just grow to replace it, making my toenail look so narrow, slanted and ugly. I am so heartbroken and so embarrassed. If I knew this was going to be the case, I would have not gone through with the procedure. She did an absolute horrible job and it looks horrible.
Issue #2: She numbed me and said that she would be back in 10 minutes to start the procedure. The numbing came and went. I had to go out to the desk after 45 minutes to ask what was going on? ! Dr. Hewitt finally came back and joked that “10 minutes was just an estimate”. Lady, I’m not sure if you know but 50 minutes is 10 minutes times 5! The numbing is gone. She proceeds to do the procedure after I was numbed 50 minutes ago and I literally screamed in pain. I had just had a baby a few months prior and it didn’t hurt nearly as bad. Obviously the numbing wore off. One of the most traumatizing situations I’ve been through. She goes “oh, see you’re not numb enough yet”. NO! AT THIS POINT ITS BEEN AN HOUR SINCE YOU NUMBED ME AND IT WENT AWAY! I wanted to run out of that place. I SHOULD HAVE. I was not set up for the pain I would have for weeks to follow.
Run far far far away from this place and this doctor. Not sure why they received such high reviews. This was the worst experience of my life and now I’m stuck with a painful, ugly reminder.
Dr. Hewitt is amazing! She listens to your issues, and treats you with dignity and respect! Her staff is always so sweet and attentive too! Dr. H is also a fantastic surgeon!
Everyone here was very kind and helpful. It was my first time in and I was immediately comfortable and felt welcome. The Doctor was thorough, explained things to me in a way that was easy to understand and handled my issue.
The plan she put together for me yielded results/improvement within days! I couldn’t be happier.
I didn't have to wait long for my appointment. The support staff is friendly and efficient. The doctor explains everything and answers my questions. I am very happy to have found Foot and Ankle.
I’m very pleased with Dr. Dyment. Her knowledge, compassion and manners are refreshing for a man like me who came very “close” to losing a foot. It’s a joy to recommend her to others.
This office is so caring and responsive to its clients. From the front desk to checking out, each one cares. Dr Dyment has cared for my family for many years and you could not ask for a more responsible doctor, she has attended to my diabetic feet and open wounds like I was a family member. What a difference she has made in my life
The staff at Foot and Ankle Physicians of Ohio were fantastic, informative, and personable. Dr. Dyment set me at ease, answered all my questions, and took addressed my medical needs quickly with care. My thanks to all at FAPO!
Cannot believe this place is rated 5 stars. I patiently went through 6 or 7 insole prints over the course of 6 months before I finally gave up. They kept printing my heel too narrow. I could have gotten a better fit from Walmart. And every time I came back they would try to charge me for visits which one ended up in collections hurting my credit. Dr. D was barely tolerable and made me feel guilty for continuing to tell them the insoles didn’t fit. Every aspect of this place was awful. Please save your time and money.
Love Dr. Hewitt and the staff. Very helpful and friendly. Dr. Hewitt did a great job on my foot surgery in 2016 and is now treating me for a broken bone in my foot. She is kind and patient. She really cares about her patients!
I will not be returning. My special needs daughter needed to have an ingrown toenail removed and was traumatized by the entire experience. She kept saying it hurt and she needed a break, and the doctor just ignored her told her it couldn’t hurt because it was numb and kept going. She was rude and disrespectful of her feelings. However, the nurse was great and tried to keep her distracted and engaged her as a person (Thank you for that)
One of the worst places I been dr was very rude. They will not see you if you can't make a payment in full. I needed a cast cut off they wouldn't do it told me to go to the er. I called today because they charged my insurance 300$ for a walking boot that only cost 150$ that I paid for. Sounds like the billing department is getting paid in other ways!
Outer office very clean and comfortable, as was the back offices. Receptionist very personable and thorough. Doctor was knowledgeable and patient. Addressed my needs, answered all of my questions. I would strongly recommend this practice! Love them!
All your staff is excellent, I am very grateful for the treatment of all the staff, especially the doctor, I recommend them,
I absolutely love this place. All of the doctors and nurses are so kind and caring. I have had two surgeries and one small procedure here and I was taken care of extremely well. I felt like I mattered. I would recommend this place to anyone!
Dr Koss is the best podiatrist I have seen! I have been to two other podiatrists in Columbus and they said you have arthritis. Dr Koss took the time to actually explain types of treatment and even relaced my shoestrings to show me how to relieve pressure on my feet. I have struggled with foot pain for three years, it’s nice to know I don’t have to just “live with it”!
Dr. Koss is thorough, compassionate, and honest the ladies that work the desk are nice there understanding.
