Fortune Noodle House reviews
18My wife has raved about this place since she started working near there. We were nearby so the whole family went. Everybody loved their dishes, and there was not even enough anything to take home. The pan fried pork dumplings were out of this world good; by far the best I have ever had since we moved to Cincy about 10 years ago. I definitely recommend checking this place out of you are looking for some good Chinese food!
I am from Texas, and it was my first time eating here. I loved the overall of services ️ you put on my table and fed my mouth. Thank you. I had a great time.
Food 3/5
Service 1/5 - They charge around 4.5% convenience fee with card payment even the bill is over $30 and the most important, without any explanation. It makes me very uncomfortable.
I changed my mind and decided to leave a one star review. When I looked at the receipt. There is a ‘convenience fee’. The restaurants didn’t inform me of it before they charged it. After calculation, this restaurants charged me with 4.3% convenience fee which is higher than usual for my credit card.
I dined in twice and ordered takeout twice here. It was very disappointing that their take out was half the portion size compared to dining in. When I dined in the host didn’t want to provide a bigger box for the leftovers, and charged us for a 2nd white rice serving that should have come with the big pot I ordered.
Delicious and authentic Chinese food! The cumin lamb noodles are my absolute favorite item on the menu. Handmade noodles, spicy and flavorful lamb - so addicting. Also, a bunch of their appetizers are made in house (scallion pancake, dumplings, and potstickers). Huge fan.
Love coming here every time I’m in the area!
Decent spot for Chinese food in Cincinnati. We ordered takeout which included pork rib noodle soup, shredded chicken, and Mongolian beef, and crab Rangoon. The Mongolian beef was very well seasoned and saucy. The noodles for the shredded chicken were a little more tough than Al Dente. Crab Rangoon is always a hit. Overall would recommend dining in for the best experience
Disgusting! Ordered the chicken noodle soup to find pink colored noodles in my dish, which were obviously contaminated. When I told the waitress she said "I don't know what that's from. ". No attempt to ask the kitchen or remedy the situation after I told her I was pregnant and very concerned. DO NOT go here. Also, the restaurant looks like it's falling apart with walls and ceilings that are pealing. Absolutely horrid experience.
Don't like to give bad reviews, but it was probably one of the worst restaurants I've been to. The place smelled like burning plastic/tires, the food was bad, even the water tasted gross. Not worth it. Check out Maki Express instead if you want some great food in the area.
My husband and I had lunch at Fortune noodle house after a visit to UC. Having been to China several times, we know what authentic Chinese food tastes like. This place was authentic, delicious, fast, and the service was great. From our table, we were able to see the noodle chef pulling and cutting noodles. It was fun to watch. We ordered stir fried green beans, eggplant in garlic sauce, stir fried noodles with lamb and veggies, and Dandan noodles. We loved the lamb noodles and green beans. The eggplant was good but just a bit too sweet for us. The Dandan noodles they served was the dry version. We personally prefer the soup version that is popular in Japan. But overall, this is a great Chinese restaurant and we're so glad that we tried it. The food at Fortune Noodle House is something to look forward to next time we're up that way again.
Good but honestly after eating here about 7 times i gotta say the quality is dropping. The pork ribs are way too small way too little meat and too much cartilage/bones to meat ratio. You gotta work to get any meat off.
Some of the best Asian food in Cincinnati! They have so many unique offerings, as well as classics. Their hand pulled noodles are incredible. Definitely check this place out if you haven't already!
I don't usually write a review, but I really had to leave one for Fortune Noodle House. Firstly, I am MAD at this restaurant. Not because the food isn't fantastic, it absolutely was. Nothing to do with customer service or how the kitchen prepared the food either. BUT, because they are so bad at advertising themselves!
I've been trying to find an authentic Sichuan restaurant in Cincinnati, albeit with a catch; can they do it Gluten Free? I have celiac disease and herpetiformis dermatitis, and very sensitive too. In fact, my insensitivity is so strong to Gluten that non-GF soy sauce will give me a herpetiformis outbreak. It's been 3 days after I ate from this place just to give myself enough time to see if I would get a flare-up. And. I didn't!
I'm mad because this place has delicious food at an exceedingly amazing value, and I'm mad they aren't advertising just how many GF dishes they have. I had to find out on Ubereats and it shocked me that such a great place would HIDE FROM ME!
Also, I have a Peanut Allergy too and I was perfectly fine. If you're looking for great value and tasty Sichuan food then this is place. Especially if you have a gluten insensitivity as the chefs or kitchen lead must be quite knowledgeable about gluten insensitivity and aware of allergies too.
I'll definitely be back here as I am beyond relieved to finally find a place I can eat and not literally die!
Thank you Rachel for everything! You were one of the best servers I’ve ever had! She helped my mom and I find a good vegan option on their menu and recommend two dishes for us to try and they were both AMAZING! I will definitely be back and I will always ask for Rachel! Thank you again! The food was amazing!
Best restaurant in Clifton, by a lot.
Has American/Chinese Staples, aswell as fantastic authentic, home made Chinese food.
I had the Orange Chicken with white rice. The portions were really big and the food was delicious.our server was really nice.
My favorite place to eat in Cincinnati. The food here is so good. This joint is a true gem.
This is not typical Chinese-American style cuisine, though they offer a handful of favorites. Many of the dishes are quite spicy, Szechuan style for my lacking a better description.
I was born and raised in the SF Chinatown, so it's quite possible I've had more than my fair share of Chinese (and Chinese-American) food. Still, I eat here as much as I can before I move away.
Get the dan dan noodles and mix them up thoroughly, literally until your arm gets tired. If you like spicy food and lamb, try the cumin lamb noodles. Their Yang Zhou fried rice is one of the best I've ever had.
Eating with friends? Cured pork belly dish is delicious. Asian Mushroom Lovers dish is crazy good. Pork dumplings with the vinegar sauce. Their chitlins dish is a must try for the more adventurous, fiiiiire.
We came here because I was craving noodles. We ended up ordering tomato egg with rice, lamb cumin noodle and beef noodle soup. Only reason it doesn’t get a 5 star was because the rice was stale.
I ordered this through Uber Eats and had THREE drivers show up, to which the rude hostess stated they were “too busy” and refused to make the food. The hostess stated she couldn’t cancel it but assured me I wouldn’t be charge.what BS! I will not order from here again due to the rudeness I, and the Uber drivers, were shown. Get better staff and learn how to cancel Uber eats orders when you’re too lazy to make them.
