Franco's, Dayton OH

Dirty and poor quality. Do they own a vacuum? Service was decent. We should have take our cue to leave when there was no one to greet us while we waited in the smoke filled entrance for about 5 minutes or so. But we haven't been to Franco's in quite some time and were looking forward to dinner. The 3 or 4 calamaris were tiny and buried under a mound of panko. It was like a treasure hunt. The world famoso spaghetti was indeed famous for complete lack of taste. I decided to take my chances on the tiramisu. Note to self - just buy a slice from Whole Foods. The Hershey's chocolate syrup was slathered along with powder sugar. I ate it because I was still hungry since 1/2 of my pasta was sitting off to the side. We won't be back. We always enjoyed the food in the past. What has happened? Very disappointed!

First off, bruchetta was amazing! My friend and I ordered filet minon. Mine was tender but under cooked by a good bit. I still ate it and didn't complain but there was a lot of gristle parts that could not be chewed down and that was not how it should have been. My friend's did not have that but no flavor for both of ours. The side salads were okay as well. The garlic oil noodles with the filet minon was delicious. Our server was pulling double duty as server and bartender and being pulled all over. She was very sweet and kind and more than made up for it. Sitting by the side door a lot of smoke was blown in to our table with cold air periodically when people went out to smoke. May go back to try some of the more classic Italian items.

Although Franco's had a decent atmosphere, the food could have been better. The spaghetti & sauce tasted like SpaghettiOs, and the the Alfredo sauce lacked taste, and they were extremely stingy with the portion of the Alfredo sauce. The Italian dressing good, but thats about it. The dayton area needs and deserves an awesome, authentic Italian resturaunt, but Franco's is a letdown.

The food was delicious. My chicken parm was fabulous, I enjoyed every bit of it. Service was a bit slow but not terrible. My water glass was empty and I finished my boyfriends water before we got refills but food came out quickly and our appetizers were out quickly. Will definitely be back!

Great local place. Good service, good food. Started with the ravioli Español. Entree ordered the "famoso" spaghetti, which is a cross of italian-american alfredo and carbonara. All food was great and no issues at all. Highly recommend

Good food and wine near the Oregon District. Excellent service. The veal scallopini was very good.

I came here yesterday night for the first time with my family to celebrate my grandmas birthday and the inside is very very nice! Staff is extremely friendly and the food was definitely a 10/10! Would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who lives close and to my friends as well

I tried to eat here today and unfortunately I plus two others left before we could enjoy any food. The experience from the moment I set foot inside was really bizzare. I went in the door that says "All Welcome" and was immediately shot a look from the wait staff as if I had done something totally offensive. I apparently went in the wrong door. Ok. Whatever. I then got sat down to try and decide what to eat. By then I think the other two had had enough and I ordered an iced tea and as they were leaving the waiter took the iced tea off of their table and gave it to me! That unfortunately was the straw that broke the camels back, or so they say. I also got up and left. Totally weird experience.

This place is amazing. Food is, as always, fresh and delicious. A true treat for your senses.

Everything was delicious. What i call Authentic "New York" Italian. Pictured is the tour de demartino (?) And espresso.

I’m so sorry I did not read all the reviews before I took my husband there for his birthday tonight. Our waitress seemed fine at first, our calamari tasted like old pieces of bricks, brought us out a new one, same thing, pieces of bricks. We had to wait forever for any bread, my husband ordered lamb chops, it came with what tasted like “old” noodles, and hash browns, my chicken Alfredo tasted sweet. The waitress asked if we needed anything else, I asked if my husband still received a free desert… she said oh yeah what would you like, no menu offered just rattled off a few choices after he ordered one she hurried to leave and I asked if I could have a desert? I was soooooo disappointed!

They seem to have the same staffing issues as most restaurants these days. That said the service was friendly. Franco's spaghetti was as good as ever. Goes nice with the new Warped Wing Premio Italian Lager.

Pssta fragole soup good, very fresh Italian bread with butter, extremely nice waitress, very clean restaurant, famous spaghetti was excellent, meat sauce and Italian sausage excellent quality and flavor best Italian sausage i ever had and the beef ravioli was very good

Why does the table have only two plates? Well I had Veal and my wife had Alfredo. It was so good we finished ours off fast. Franco's will always be a 5 star restaurant. Service with a smile, everyone is in good spirits, and the food is just on point every time. Don't waste your time with Olive Garden or the typical American style Italian food, get here. We drove over 30 minutes to this place and it never disappoints! Keep up the great work.

Love pasta? Love garlic? Then Franco's World Famous Spaghetti is for you. Thus is NOT a red sauce dish.olive oil, roasted garlic, egg, Romano.that's is, and it's Life Changing!

Service was slow. Mediocre food. My husband enjoyed the Franco's "World Famoso" Spaghetti. I didn't care for my lasanga. No ricotta cheese. Just dense noodles. Our waiter asked me twice if i wanted a box. I was trying to be polite. We'll try other options when in the area again.

They had wonderful food, I would recommend to anybody! I had the steak and it was cooked perfect!

I had not been to Francos in over 20 years, I will not be waiting that long to go back! Jamie was an excellent server and the food was AMAZING
