My mother goes to this dialysis facility and the care they provide is a nearly miraculous improvement upon her extremely negative, even dangerous, experience with DaVita. They actually get to know the patient. They have a CNP meet with the patient weekly. The staff reviews the patient's meds weekly. There is open and frequent communication with mom's nephrologist, about her rare calcyphilaxis condition, which has been REVERSING for the BETTER (an even rarer occurrence). They diligently educate, rather than just handing you paperwork and assuming you (usually old and in cognitive decline) will somehow understand detailed medical information. They are kind and flexible to the reality of other medical needs (for instance, giving Zofran for nausea at the START of treatment, rather than the end, as an ineffectual afterthought). They don't make stupid mistakes that cause the patient further discomfort. My mom is extremely sensitive to fluid/electrolyte fluctuations, so the head RN at the facility, Lori, calculates her dialysis needs multiple times PER VISIT to avoid fluxes as often as possible. I am in open dialogue with the facility as mom's caretaker (which, believe me, doesn't happen with every dialysis provider). The only problem I have noticed is a staff shortage, which still does not seem to impact the quality of mom's treatment.

During this trying time the staff here has been super friendly and helpful answering all my questions and checking on my wife just to make sure she's getting the best care. They're the best always with a smile and very Covid-19 conscious.

They need more help! The techs need to change pods! They need to learn to poke other spots so you don’t end up with aneurysms! They need better management/manger!
