Gabe's, Mentor OH

Visited 2/18 at 3pm with my husband and infant son. After a great shopping experience, we were the only ones standing in line waiting to be checked out. An older female cashier loudly yelled at the young male cashier working next to her to “start ringing people out and not just stand there. ” He seemed just as confused as us for the unnecessary attitude since he had just gotten up there and she was just as capable of ringing us out. She then yelled at my family to “pick a cashier because it doesn’t matter” so we obviously chose the calm polite young man. The older female then walked into a close aisle out of sight and started talking loudly about her life problems. I know everyone has bad days but if you expect to keep employees you need to enforce mutual respect regardless of age. This did not seem like a one-time occurrence and no one likes working in a tense environment.

My young lady cashier was delightful and very knowledgeable. My engagement with her as I checked out was very pleasant.

Every time I go in there's always a long line. Sizes are hard to find & some selections are not ever available in other Gabe's locations. They have a good variety of name brand clothing. I just wish I could go in, actually take my time to look through the abundance of items, be able to check out quickly & be on my way.

Fitting rooms haven't been swept in a long, long time. Friendly staff, but slow checkout.

Great selection at a great price. You do have to search around a bit to find what you are looking for but I think it’s worth it.

I found some deals. Need to be in store for a long time. Some different size items are mixed together.

Gabe's has such a huge selection and great prices. I love the store and have found great things there! But sometimes it's hard to find the sizes you're looking for. For example, i was looking for a winter coat for my son who's almost a year old. They only had one 12m coat and it wasn't what i was looking for. Otherwise, i really love this store!

This place is always hit or miss. Sometimes you find great stuff at good prices. Other times not so much. Some prices are the same as other stores.

First time here. I really liked the range of items and prices were fair. I'll go back.

Similar to a Marshalls or Ross store. Primarily clothing with a mixture of other goods. It would be nice if the items on the racks were better organized by size etc.

I always find a unique novelty shirt. Gabes is a hit or miss store like Ollies. I'm a guy who likes looking for a hidden treasure. Yes, it takes a bit of work and time but I find Gabes to be fun place to shop. Pre covid it was stocked better but it getting a lot better! I have shopped at Gabes for a good 15 years and always find great values!

It has really gone downhill, the lack of cleanliness, stained and damaged clothes was shocking. Salvation army probably has better products.

New shoes and sandals clearance find, in my size, shocker! But no boots I liked in my size again! Coupon printed for $5off next visit at check out!

Too many items no price tags. Too many people. Ar least everyone was wearing mask Carys not sanitized and wipes were gone.

As usual just one cashier in a line of people the gentleman calls for more people and nobody comes for at least 10 minutes definitely going to think twice before I walk in that place again

Always good clothing, decent staff, but not super clean. I find all my formal dresses here for less that 10 dollars. Love this place!

Love that store got me a pair of bear claw boots for the winter for a crazy amount I couldn't get them anywhere else for that amount so it was fun
