Gallia County Department of Job and Family Services, Gallipolis OH

Great people trying to make the county a safe place for everyone!
They have applications outside so that if you need them and they are not in the office you can get what you need.

I was there for another department not the Child Support department. The gentleman working the front desk area was an absolute breath of fresh air. He was very helpful and friendly which is not what we always get when going to Job and Family Services.

The people there are fine. The phone services sucks. I am always forwarded to the USA office, or the person isn't in. There is no option to speak with the main desk.

They desperately need to work on the phone situation. Waited on the phone for 50 mins and finally get through to somebody and they just say “job and family services, what county” so I say Gallia (which I’ve already selected when they ask you to push 1 for Gallia County) and she just sends me right back to the very beginning, so I have to wait again. Finally get through another FIFTY MINUTES later, she hangs up on me. So, I drive all the way to the building, come in and explain what happens and the girl at the front desk pulls up my info and just tells me to call the number on the paper I got in the mail. I DID THAT ALREADY! EVERY time I have to call this place it’s an absolute freaking nightmare. They need to have an online chat or something

Great place to go if you're low income or just need help. They offer a wide variety of programs to help the needy.
The staff is very friendly and professional.
