Geek squad has out priced their competition. Not a big fan of wading through computerized answering

Pretty sleezy they won't even look at a broken TV if its larger than 42" unless you swear allegiance to their $199 per year service agreement. Can't even drop it off at the store.

Person I talked to was rude. Didn't want to answer my simple questions. Told me that they don't do replacement tips for Apple pencils. Even though the online rep told me they did and the bottom of the receipt says they do as well.

Worst experience. I bought speakers here for my wife’s car for her birthday and the website said they fit. I confirmed with the associate that they fit, He said they did. Another associate talks me into total tech to cover the install. I pay and schedule, coordinate with my job to get the day off but then my appointment gets canceled, Only appointment before my wife’s birthday is in Cincinnati, I get the day off and then that appointment gets canceled too, they find me an appointment in Columbus. I go but they say they can’t do the install because they need adapters. I order them and reschedule here in Fairborn where I got the speakers in the first place, then I show up today and they say they dont fit even with adapter plates. I go to return everything (except the adapter plates which i had to order elsewhere at the direction of the tech at Best Buy in Columbus) and there’s some fine print somewhere so I don’t even get all my money back for total tech. So this costs me 3 days off of work, premium gas to Columbus and back, the cost of the adapters, and I don’t have anything to show for it. I don’t even get a full refund. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER ITEM FROM BEST BUY.

Very nice and friendly young woman assisted me with my order. Fast service and friendly staff. I took my lunch to a nearby park. It was a good day!

Nor helpful in the slightest when trying to fix my computer. Said they needed $75 to send it out but can't guarantee it will be fixed and they were rude when I asked them to call THEIR service center. For some reason they can't call their own service center?

Set up a large order including pieces to be delivered, some to be picked up, installation of a wifi network, and service agreements. The order was placed 3 September 2020, and as of 7 November, it is still not complete. Geek Squad technicians visited on 17 September and 20 October. The last technician indicated some part was not available, but did not explain what is missing. We cannot get status of when it will be done, the work order went "in transit" on 20 October, which apparently means no one can change it.
Calls to the 800-/888- numbers are lengthy and usually result in, "someone will contact you, " which has not happened, at least three times. The latest call lasted an hour and fifteen minutes. Calling the stores can be just as fruitless, 35 minute wait times with no answer are not uncommon.
This order involves both the Beavercreek and Springfield stores, yet no one seems to know the store managers or regional manager. The folks at the Best Buy Help Line could not even identify the store number on the receipt, or tell me which store had responsibility based on the order number. Just keep asking when another technician should be scheduled to come out, which would be helpful if we knew which part is "missing" and could have it ordered and on-site before another visit is wasted.
We anticipate a fourth Geek Squad visit for what should have been a one-day installation.
Already burned through two months of a 1-year tech support agreement, because the clock started with date of purchase, not date of completion of installation.
Best Buy/Geek Squad are supposed to be Information Technology companies, but have intentionally set up poor communications between the technicians and the order placement information. The Help people are halfway around the world and prevented from accessing useful information, or prevented from providing it to customers.
We went with a big company on this order because we figured they would have robust information sharing. Next time, will look for a smaller team who are allowed by their management to help each other.
