Gentle Endodontics: Nivine Y El-Refai, BDS, DDS, MSD, Medina OH

Dr Al-Rifai and her team are very professional, capable and courteous. They follow up pre and post appointment. Dr Nivine explained the procedure ahead, properly diagnosed and executed well.

Very professional. Atmosphere is Very relaxing. Walk into the office with a mini waterfall and spa music playing. Very clean and the latest technology for your treatment. Even the ceiling in the procedure rooms have relaxing scenery over the light fixtures. Doctor is very informative throughout the procedure. In my case it was a root canal. I highly recommend her services especially if any kind of dental work is overly stressful for you and you want to experience the least pain and be put into the most comfortable setting to have it done. I forgot the mention her procedure chairs feel like your laying on a gel padded bed.

Dr. El Refai is amazing, she is gentle and caring but more importantly she is skilled, experiences and thorough. If you have any tooth pain, go to her. She is the absolute best!

Thousands of dollars later, root canal has failed. It'll cost over 2k more to retreat. Of course there's a waiver before treatment.

Went in for a Root Canal and I have bad anxiety when it comes to dentists. Doctor El-Refai and her staff were excellent! Explained everything going on and made me as comfortable as possible during the long procedure! If you need to see a specialist go see her you won't regret it!

Dr. El-Refia and Jen were very kind and reassuring. The procedure took about 2 hours and was uncomfortable as root canals usually are, but the soreness afterwards was much less than in previous root canals. I would recommend Dr. El-Refai.

I want to clarify what I posted above. I had NO pain at all during the procedure. And now, 24 hours later, I have almost no soreness, something that I always had for days and even weeks after many other root canals. The discomfort I had was from the apparatus used in my mouth to hold it open and isolate the tooth being repaired. Dr. El-Refai was great and will use her again if (God forbid) I need any more.

I have been dealing with a terrible toothache my dentist referred me to Dr. El-Refai. Right from the start I was relieved. They got me in right away and gave me a clear breakdown of cost prior to work being down. The 3 D X ray was amazing. I needed a root canal. They got me in same day. Paula was so kind and helpful and made me feel at ease. Dr. El-Rafai was also very kind explaining everything she would do. From the front of the office to the doctor was a good experience. I highly recommend this place.

Entire staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly. Dr El-Refai is so gentle and I was so comfortable through the entire procedure, even nodding off at times. Wonderful experience.

The office was comfortable & well appointed, yet very sterile. I would only give Dr. El-Refai and her team my highest recommendation. Everyone was super friendly. I went in for a consult and exam of my tooth and Dr. El-Refai was very thorough in explaining everything and answering my questions in a calming way. She even provided me with information on relaxing techniques. I did not end up needing further treatment but I wouldn’t hesitate to return if I do!

1) PROFESSIONALISM- not just from her, but every staff member. Dr. El-Refai has impeccable bedside manner…calm yet confident. Her assistants are kind, compassionate and maintain high standards. Jen in the office is prompt, helpful, and super friendly.
2) THOROUGHNESS - from explaining how to sit during X-rays/scans, to her in-depth examination of your dental issue, Dr. El-Refai’s expertise is evident (beyond technical training…you can tell she wants her patients to have the best endodontic experience possible.)
3) CLEANLINESS - Her office is spotless! I appreciate this so much especially considering the nature of her work. Health safety is obviously a priority.
4) EQUIPMENT - it is obvious that her equipment is state of the art, well-maintained, and those exam chairs…. Sooo comfortable!

Everyone in the office is super friendly. I was very well taken care of through my entire experience. Everything is explained in great detail and in an easy way to understand. I never thought I could fall asleep through a root canal, but they made sure I was comfortable the entire time that I was fighting to stay awake! The office is extremely clean and felt like a home rather than a dentist office. I truly appreciated all the effort the staff put in to make this procedure as easy as possible.

I have an infection in a tooth with a root canal. I was able to immediately get an appt with Dr. El-Refai. The office staff were very friendly and professional. Dr. El-Refai did a thorough exam and suggested a Cone Beam CT Scan and I agreed. Dr. El-Refai explained the results of the scan in such detail that I completely understood what was going on with my tooth. The scan showed a hairline fracture in my tooth. Dr. El-Refai gave me all my options and recommended not to fix the root canal and suggested another route. Her thoroughness gave me an accurate and complete diagnosis. In addition, Dr El-Refai saved me money, additional time to fix my tooth, and future inevitably problems with my tooth. This was not my first visit to Dr. El-Refai office and I would never go to anyone else for the services she offers. Her office has state of the art equipment and her ability to communicate a diagnosis and service recommendations is thorough. I trust her abilities, her gentle nature, and her honesty. Plus her office atmosphere is so calming. You only need to try Dr. El-Refai one-time to become a lifelong patient.
