Beautiful little cabin in the woods, far enough away from others to have privacy. Great price for the night. Hot tub and grill on the back deck, fire pit in the side yard, bed up in the loft. Also pet friendly! He had the homestead cabin.

Not Recommend Dirty smelled like Mothballs and raw Sewage. Infested with mice. They told us that was country living.

Booked 3 days stayed 1 due to how unclean the cabin was. Floors had not been swept, dishes has congealed grease on them, the gas grill was rusty and only on side worked, thick dust on surfaces, shower head was gross, sink was rusty, road to cabin was muddy. Pictures were clearly old and do not depict current condition. Book your cabin elsewhere.

We enjoyed our stay at the moose cabin. It was clean and comfortable, and had what we needed to relax and have a good time. Would stay at these cabins again

Had a GREAT stay at cabin 49. Very clean, spacious, quite and secluded. Yes, in any kind of bad weather 4x4 would be required. Could not be happier with the cabin and amenities.

Stayed in Bear's Den. Nice cabin with bedroom in loft and plenty of room for your dog. Nice kitchen and bathroom. Only negative - need more lamps & stair treads. Fairly close to all Hocking Hills Parks. Road into cabin is a little rough, we used 4 wheel drive to get into cabin. Definitely would stay there again.

We resently stayed in the Honey Bee Cabin# 11.12/29/21 to 1/2/22 It was the cutest and coziest cabin, it was clean, and romantic there was music playing when we came in and there was rose petals on the bed in the shape of a heart with candles (battery operated). We got a lot of use out of the hot tub there was plenty of privacy. We are already talking about coming back in the spring or fall I can't wait.

My experience was horrid from start to finish. Upon arrival, staff was quite rude. I went to my cabin after check in time to find unmasked staff (during a covid surge) inside of it still cleaning so I waited in my car for quite some time while they finished. I got into the cabin to find the back door was broken and unable to be locked. The hot tub also didn't work. To their credit, because of these issues they moved me to a new cabin quite a far distance away. This new cabin was unfortunately not clean. There was crusted food on dishes, fake rose petals left from a previous guest, etc.and the TV was on at a high volume. I realized later that the TV was on at such a loud volume because every time it was turned off you could hear animals in the walls scratching and making other noises- this didn't work well for sleeping soundly at night. My options were an incredibly loud TV or animal sounds 24/7. Luckily I didn't see the animals. I did see loaded mouse traps around the space but whatever was in the walls was much louder than a mouse. I reached out to them privately via email to try to communicate about these issues before posting a public review but they ignored me entirely and never responded. I come down to Hocking Hills at least once a year and rent a cabin- this is by FAR the worst experience I've ever had in the region. There are MUCH better cabin options available to enjoy the beautiful region with staff who actually understand and care about customer service.

This company apparently does not care about the health and safety of its guests during a global pandemic. A few days before our reservation, my husband woke up sick with Covid symptoms. He took a PCR test but results would not be available for 3 days. Upon calling to ask if I could reschedule our booking, I was told by the office manager that company policy “for the past 20 years” is that they do not refund bookings canceled at three days out and that we could submit a positive test to be considered for a refund. I told her this would not be possible on this timeline and that we were concerned about staying at a cabin and impacting the cleaning staff and future guests and that perhaps they should change their policy in the wake of a global pandemic. She proceeded to tell me that Covid is no different than the flu and is nothing to worry about. I was floored. We did end up coming because my husband started feeling better and we didn’t want to lose $700. We found out this week that he was indeed positive for Covid during our stay. Luckily we did not encounter anyone on our trip but I really wish we had been given an option to rebook so as not to have to make this difficult decision and go when he wasn’t feeling 100%. In an unprecedented time, this company could really benefit from revising policies to keep guests’ safety first. Will not book through them again and do not recommend. I hope training is provided to the very uneducated and rude office manager as well.

Great selection of cabins, ours (Spruce Moose) was pretty clean but the hot tub was quite old. The beds were super comfy. Had everything we needed for the weekend. Close to area landmarks.

My wife and I stayed this past weekend for our anniversary and loved the Stargazer cabin #14. Very cozy cabin for a couple looking to get away for a little bit. The hot tub was great, it is very private and exactly what we were looking for. The catwalk to the upper porch is a really unique little touch. Nothing really negative to say about this little cabin, we had a great weekend there. A couple PSA though, not complaints just information, very steep steps to the loft where the bed is, so if you have leg or even back issues this may not be the place for you, we had no issues but I can see where this might be a problem if you do. Water definitely has a sulfur smell to it, again not an issue unless you're sensitive to smells, lastly there isn't a turn around at the cabin so you have to back up the drive a little bit to turn around so just be proficient with your back skills in your vehicle. Overall a perfect weekend away at this cabin, would definitely recommend.

We loved the in the woods cabin feel of our stay. Secluded, cozy, and clean. They ask what time you will arrive and have everything set up for you. Then when we wanted to stay an additional day they accommodated us for that as well. There are alot of the home away from home items that they have on hand if you forgot them too.

My husband & I stayed at the White Oak cabin for the July 4th 2020 weekend. It was the 4th year in a row that we have stayed there. Never had a problem until this trip. Maybe some cobwebs here & there but nothing major. Prior to our visit, on June 23rd, I emailed the office to ask what extra measures were being taken regarding cleaning/disinfecting due to COVID. I work w/a cleaning company & know the extra steps that must be taken regarding disinfecting (using a hospital grade/CDC approved disinfectant, disinfect all “high touch” areas like doorknobs, light switches, any handles/buttons/remote controls, extra special attention in bathroom areas and kitchens, etc.) The only response I got from the office was that they were “following all of the recommendations of the Hocking Co Health Dept in regard to all of our cleaning. ” I went to the Health Dept’s site & looked at the standards there. The same items I listed above, as well as draining & refilling hot tubs between visitors, using a CDC approved cleaning product for all surfaces, towels & linens washed at a “kill all” temperature, etc. I emailed the office again to double check that these specific measures would be taken, high touch areas would be disinfected & hot tub would be drained, cleaned, & refilled. I NEVER got a response. I was completely ignored. When we got to the cabin, it was *FILTHY*. We had to clean it ourselves. Luckily I brought CDC approved disinfectant w/me.
There was *PUBIC HAIR* & lots of dust on the toilet base, & many DEAD BUGS behind the toilet, meaning that area was *absolutely not* sanitized in accordance to the CDC guidelines. Definitely hadn’t been wiped behind the toilet for a LONG time. So many dead bugs. There was black mold in the corner of the shower that I easily saw, sprayed, & wiped away. The wood floors were not mopped. We spilled some water & wiped it up w/a towel & the towel was *BROWN* afterwards. There was HAIR inside the fridge. There was dirty foil with crumbs under the stove burners & a dead bug on the stove. Cobwebs throughout the cabin including right above the stove, easily seen. Dead bugs on the windowsills. I could go on.
Lamps that were not connected to light switches were very dusty & so I highly doubt the switches on the lamps were sanitized. This makes me highly doubt that light switches & door handles (high touch areas) were even sanitized at all. We never got a response regarding the hot tub, so we were not comfortable using it. Which is a shame because it’s one thing that helps my chronic pain. This was our 3rd or 4th year of staying in this cabin & the cleaning has progressively gotten lazier & not up to standards. This is extremely concerning during a pandemic. We’ve looked passed the cobwebs & dust in the past, but this year was absolutely unacceptable. I was explicitly ignored when I asked for specifics regarding cleaning. That is so shady. I have been ignored in further emails & Facebook messages regarding what happened. They are extremely unprofessional. We are very disappointed & will not be back for a 5th year. We don’t want anything from you. Just do better. Care about people’s health. I have many chronic health conditions. I shouldn’t have had to clean the cabin myself. It’s seriously disgraceful.
Getaway Cabins, before you say we should have said something during our stay, I will say that I said something BEFORE the stay & was IGNORED. I asked for specifics on cleaning for COVID. I said something AFTER the stay & was IGNORED. If you have any respect for the people staying in your cabins, any respect for public health, & any pride in your business, the cabin should have been clean, period. Spotless. Especially during a PANDEMIC. We shouldn’t have had to call you once we got there & had you come disrupt our stay to clean what should have been cleaned already.
.
Edit: no, you did not answer my cleaning questions when I asked for specifics. I have not said anything unkind to anyone. Reread the last sentence in the paragraph above.

Stop blaming guests for every problem, have some pride & take some accountability
