Gibbs Butcher Block, Columbia Station OH

I have been going to Gibbs for over 20 years. Today will be the last day I step foot in that establishment.
I had a very nice lady helping me with 5 different deli items that I needed. I browsed around, then needed ground meat. I went to the meat counter while she was slicing all my deli items and asked for help. They refused to help me because another lady was helping me. Even though I was going to be waiting a while because slicing 5 meats takes some time. Then another person asked me if I needed help. They also refused to help me because someone else was helping me. Then, when I told the lady that helped me what happened, another girl behind the counter got involved and told me they have better things to do back there then help a customer. (Even though 2 people asked me if I needed help.) Then she made the comment were hiring. (I already work for a living). I was there for meat not a job.
I was amazed how awful they treated a 20 year customer. I refuse to go here again. I will take my business to Chuppas from here on out. Oh and they were not busy at all. It was early in the morning, maybe 4 people in the whole store.

Fabulous store and butcher! Youu can find a bit of everything, but the sausages are the best I've ever had!

A true butcher/specialty shop featuring quality fresh beef, pork, chicken, and a wide selection of frozen fresh seafood. Dozens of flavors of pork and chicken sausage - all fresh and delicious. Also has a good assortment of breads and rolls. Produce and some dairy items complete the picture. Our only place to shop for meats, deli, seafood.

Love this place! Staff is always very friendly and it's kind of gives you a nostalgic type of feel. Meat is very fresh and great! During the summer they have sausage tasting every Saturday and ribs every Sunday

Great service, great product! I always go out of my way to make a stop at Gibb’s. Try the maple bacon sausage (so good)!

What an awesome meat market, deli as well as small grocery store! Customer Service is also fantastic!
Don’t know why anyone would buy shrink wrapped meat at a grocery store when they could purchase fresh meat here!
The deli sandwiches, soups and salads are like a first class restaurant deli that does nothing else except sandwiches, soups & salads!

Horrible customer service. Young girl (30 or so?) behind the counter was unnecessarily rude and sarcastic. First impressions last a lifetime.
I arrived late afternoon, apparently the "kitchen" had just closed 10 minutes earlier even though the sign on the door said the business was open for another hour or 2.

Not a problem, as I didn't need anything from the kitchen, nor anything hot, nor anything cooked. I simply wanted a cold cut sub. To which the girl repeated 5 times that the kitchen was closed.
You don't need a kitchen to make a cold sub. Especially after an older woman (50 pr so?), who was very friendly, came over and said that she could slice me some cold cuts. Ironically, I was with a small group and we were in need of around 7 subs. Absolutely no business acumen to turn away that large of a check because you're lazy.

So you can cut and package coldcuts in a bag, but you can't place them on a roll? This was the worst customer service I've ever received at a deli/butcher. The young girl is I'm serious need of customer service training!
I should be able to go in and get a cold cut sandwich during any minute of operating hours. Shouldn't matter if you just opened for the day or you close in 10 minutes.

Found this place on maps after my last trip to Cleveland and wished I would've been able to stop. Made it this time. All kinds of bratwurst are what caught my eye. But they have beer, wine, premade salads, and cut meat. The lady helping me was friendly and let me get one of each to try and had to bag all separately and tag with price. It ended up costing me $28 for 9 brats, but I'm hoping they meet my expectations as I'm looking forward to trying the different flavors.

The staff are very helpful and friendly! The selection of food is surprisingly big considering that this store isn’t. It even has a frozen seafood section and a small farmers market inside.

Hands down Gibbs has the best seafood stuffed mushrooms and novelty sausages with a gazillion different delicious flavors to choose from. I love their hot scorpion, corn, blueberry, honey habanero sausages. It’s such a quick and healthy dinner!

I moved into the area about 3 and a half years ago, and since day one almost all my meat has come from Gibbs! There is absolutely nothing bad I can say about this place, I've come to know a little bit about each and every one of the employees, and they are all fantastic people! Very polite and every now and again they'll play around with me, which is needed most days after work! All around a phenomenal meat selection, and you can always ask for suggestions for how they prefer to cook the specific meat you've picked. They haven't steered me wrong yet! I love this place, and I'm always disappointed when I get my meat from anywhere else! The only downside is the parking situation, but they have a lot across the bridge by the uhauls where ypu can park and take a quick little stroll across the bridge to work off some calories before ypu make a delicious breakfast, dinner or lunch! Take a trip to check it out! It's well worth it!

I moved away for almost 4yrs, this was one of my first must go to's once I moved back.

Truly miss this place. Used to live down the street on E River Rd and shopped there all the time. Great fresh meat and produce

I was like a kid in a candy store. Nice deli. They have antipasts salad, they have boars head products.

The selection of quality meats is huge. Take your time to pick out a selection of sausages. You will love them! From hot Italian to chicken sausage full of flavors, you just have to try them! We drive an hour to restock!
