Gideon Owen Wine Company, Port Clinton OH

We held my dad's 80th birthday party here and the only reason I gave them 5 stars is because I can't give them 10! Emily and her team were fantastic, the room was perfect, the food amazingly delicious and the service impeccable. We really could not have asked for more and everyone had a great time.

We met some family for lunch. First time back since it became Gideon Owen. The remodeling was great. Gave it a whole new atmosphere. And the patios made it bright and airy. Ordered typical lunch fare. The wine list was amazing. And it was nice they had draft beer from the local brewery up the road. Which is actually my personal Zen place. We ordered a burger and BLT sandwich. The burger was way undercooked from what we ordered. But had good flavor. The BLT wasn't quite as exciting but doable. Have had way better though in less attractive settings. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. So overall it was a nice visit.

We took our family to Gideon Owen Winery for a magical evening in a Glass House. Our service was top notch, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was simply perfect. What a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season. We would highly recommend booking one of these private spaces for your next holiday gatherings.

Nice winery, beautiful inside and out. We did not eat here but I sampled some wine and it was an enjoyable experience. Then we walked around outside to enjoy the scenery.

This restaurant hosts a nice Christmas market. I went here and was satisfied with my experience. This restaurant has a large patio area where it hosts a Christmas market with independent vendors. There are a lot of people selling decorative nautical themed home items and Christmas cookies. There are also a couple vendors selling coffee and one selling German sausages. There are two fireplaces with Adirondack chairs around them as well as one large fire place. The bathrooms in the patio area are quite luxurious, being clean, well designed, and spacious. The men’s bathroom has two urinals and one toilet. I gave this restaurant five stars because it hosts a delightful Christmas market for the Catawba area.

They had a really nice holiday market today. You could get a glass of wine and shop for an assortment of local vendors. The best part was the Christmas tree made out of wine glasses filled with wine!

Enjoyed shopping at the Christmas market outside at Gideon Owen. The lobster bisque was great big chunks of lobster. Service was excellent.

We hosted our wedding here recently and it was amazing. The staff is great, the food was delicious, and the day went exactly as planned. Highly recommend both as a dinner night out or a full event!

Went there for a wedding. It was very well done. Very pretty. I really liked that the dance area was away from the dining area.

Another incredible Winery in Catawba. Stunning place with great live music. Food was incredible too.

We went here when it was Mon Ami, but as it changed hands it really doesn't compare. There are a lot less options and the fries are not great lol. There may be better options, it's not horrible but not as nice as it was.

The space is really nice. Beautiful inside and out. Minus the bathrooms which were surprisingly dirty and untidy compared to the rest of everything. The service we had was not very good. Our waitress barely checked on us and was pretty rude when she did stop by. She may have just been having a bad day, I'm not sure. My food was also not good. My fries were cold, and I had asked for my burger medium, but it was very well done. (I'm not the kind of person to send stuff back though, and it was at least eatable, so I didn't ask for a new one). For the prices they charge, the trip was definitely not worth it. One of the most lackluster restaurant experiences I've had in a while.

Please do not spend your money at this place. They treat older employees terribly by increasing their workloads to the point of it being impossible to do their jobs. The winery does this so they have an excuse to fire the older employee and replace them with someone younger. Such an age-ist way of treating employees should not be tolerated. I will never give this place another dime of my business and neither should you

Lovely meal here celebrating one person's birthday. One of us had the Moroccan Salmon and one the Lake Erie Walleye. Both were prepared well. Service was a leisurely pace and atmosphere with the fire pit is great.

What a horribly sad experience. 5 of us went for dinner last night and to say the staff were collectively rude is a complete understatement. The person managing seating should never be allowed in the hospitality business. After waiting an hour and 30 minutes we were told there were no tables despite all the tables outside being available (after 8 pm). We insisted on taking one of them. She was extremely sarcastic and wielded the power and control of being a hostess with reckless abandon. Something was obviously said to the outside server as she dropped off menu's without saying anything and literally never came back. We ended up finding 5 seats at the bar and managed to get served.
We go to Gideon Owen fairly regularly and had taken some friends after telling the how great it was. They were in awe of the location but totally shocked and disappointed with the staff and our treatment.

Great food, pricy. The Jumbrellas are $125, but it's worth it for a large party. Heated & blocks you from the wind.
