Gionino's Pizzeria, Wooster OH

** Note that the bottom of the menu reads, "Have a problem? Don't tell a robot, tell a human. A human made this error, a human can fix it. " I ordered a Buffalo Chicken pizza which is what I have always ordered over the 20 yrs I've eaten at gioninos. This pizza was nothing at all like the usual. The sauce was a strange, oniony flavored concoction with maybe blue cheese or ranch mixed in? The color was very different. Not sure but I ate a piece and it was gross. It was also burnt and the chicken is usually cut pieces of chicken breast but this time it was those processed pieces with the fake charbroiled lines on them like subway has. The sauce was my main complaint.

I kindly complained to the waitress and asked her to remove the charge for this pizza, but she insisted it was the same pizza it had always been and nothing was wrong with it. She came back and told me the manager said I was expected to pay for it in full. I left the pizza for the busboy.

I just feel like if you have longtime customer telling you something isnt right with the food, you should be more respectful. Otherwise, you're implying the customer is either lying or has gone insane.

We had to ask to be seated. Lots of conversation in the kitchen and they saw us standing by the door for 5 minutes. There were no other customers when we arrived at 4pm. I've eaten here at this location a dozen times and each time they are slow. This time we only waited 35 minutes, but it can be upwards of an hour or more.

I dont plan to go back to this location.

I got sick and so did my friend after eating here. That night and the next day we both did. I called to talk to the manager and a young female said hold on, pretended to go get the manager, then she pretended she was the manager when I told her that some of the meat may be bad and to have it checked to avoid others getting sick. Not very responsible! Sad because they usually have GREAT food. One of my favs. Not anymore. I'm leary.

Great pizza and great service. The only reason they don't have 5stars is because I've only been there once. I will definitely be going back to try some of their specialty pizzas.

This is a typical sportbar setup, but they don't serve any alcohol.
The place is very clean, and the servers seem nice.
I ordered a 6-in personal pizza and some JoJo's for my road trip.
I guess I'll see how this holds up.eating pizza while driving hahaha

I ordered dinner around 230 as it was a Saturday and I knew they would get busy. I requested a 5pm delivery. I was surprised and annoyed that they showed up at 340. I informed the driver and he placed blame on the kitchen staff. I immediately call and request to speak to their manager and the girl goes “uhmmm…. ” Long pause and then states ok. Then she gets back on the phone and states their profess for timed ahead orders. She then blames the delivery driver because “he took your order over the phone”. I informed her a female was who I spoke to and she had no reply to that. She asked if I wanted it redelivered at 5. I declined because one of the pizzas would go to waste. Then she stammers around and ask if I wanted a credit. This is still not the manager. I get mistakes happen but I’ve ordered ahead before and they delivered it way too early then as well. I told her they clearly didn’t care based on her attitude and she ended the call. They have the most uncaring employees. No one seems to care about good customer service. So frustrating because they have good food. I just wanted some sincerity in an apology and that is clearly lacking for this place!

Ordered was told 25 minutes over hour later get order and the wings had no sauce on them and they wanted me to drive all way back in to have them put sauce on them they said they can't do anything about it.

Lousy potatoes wedges was to hard to eat n dried out Chicken was dried out also Wouldn't recommend it

Great service great food never go wrong eating here and the staff is amazing restaurant very clean family oriented

Love the steak pizza. Salads! Chicken! Everything is excellent.
Service is always great, even when crowded on a Fri. /Saturday night.

Ordered salads pizza and chicken for a table of 5. Salads come out early even though one was a meal. Ok. One small pizza and a sub sandwich come out next. Other small pizza and chicken dinner don’t come to the table. After 20 minutes we hunt down our waitress and ask about other food and drink refills. She says that’s how the food comes out. No apology, no estimate for when the 2 people will get their food. Then she brings 2 drink refills and gives me zero ice in my iced tea, even after I asked for it. We ask to get 2 remaining meals to go. 15 more minutes pass. Then they bring the boxed up small pizza, no explanation about the chicken. We ask for the manager, no apology, no explanation. Other customers are shocked by the managers attitude. After more than an hour we get the rest of our order to go. But after how the server and the “manager” acted who would feel safe eating it. Ruined lunch with our daughter while visiting her at the College of Wooster.

Has good days and bad days. Last visit the service was terrible and we were the only ones dining in. Pizza is never consistent.

Have tried several different pizzas and loved them all. Check out the Popeye pizza for something different and delicious!

Tonight, terrible service. Had to ask to be waited on. Finally, order our pizza, took a long time finally brought pizza, then we waited on plates. We saw another couple come in and then they left, no one waited on them. I will say the pizza was excellent. No mints with bill. This is unusual for this place.

Only 3 table of people in the restaurant. Took waitress 20 min to take our order, then 30 min to get food after she took our order, then our order was wrong, waited additional 10 to bring the sauce for the sandwich that should have been in the sandwich.

Ordered a mediums pizza 1 hour and 20 minutes before closing. Got probably all their banana pepper that was left in the container and scrap pieces of an onion. Used to love Gionino’s but this is the straw.

A quick run in to grab an Antipasto salad for a dinner compliment. Called ahead.said it would be ready in 15.paid and out the door in 10. Slam bam thank you ma'am. Slick and easy. These salads are so delish. And for the price, serves 3 with leftovers.
